Ticket machine regularly doesnt activate cards or broken.nTrains tickets that do print out randomly dont work on ticket machines, forcing you to qeueue at the her end.nAutomatic doors into the station broken and taped over as 'under maintenance' for weeks.nTrains often run with fewer carriages than normal or cancelled.nSwear they'd put ticket gate here too if they could do it to really enhance the experience some more.nThe bare minimum of a station.
Small station, more of a shelter than anything. Borne 24hrs and guichet sometimes available.nParking is large and cheap £2.60 a day. However, between the Royal Mail strikes who uses the parking and the current work, spaces are harder to get by. The overall car park isn't CCTV monitored.
Always clean and tidy. During the winter months there is always plenty of grit down around the station. There is a shop in the waiting area which has lovely, friendly staff. There is a second waiting room which has 2 small heaters in it, but they aren't the most effective, but at least it gets you in from the elements.
Dated as hell, couple of valium ed out their heed Ned's, rusty rusty. But who give a hoot? It's a train station and served it's purpose so long as the train runs and the rails in rusty
Trains to / from Edinbrugh and Glasgow about every 15 to 20mins during peak times, good amount of parking at a reasonable price easily updated by ringo app and conveniently situated by town centre. Is well set up without any messing about with barriers that don't read your tickets etc and has a bike rack , easy boarding and bus services for connections to outlying areas
