NOT A 4 STAR!!nworst hotel I have EVER stayed in.nPros: location is OK, bus stop nearby, shower is nice, manager eventually, after being refused his contact details gave us an apology.nCons long list!: Receptionists are incompetent, couldn’t find our booking and had us stressed for over an hour because SHE spelt my name wrong! I even gave her my ID. Mould all over the bathroom, plug sockets don’t work, extremely uncomfortable pillows we ended up sleeping without a pillow. The electricity went off in our room and we were toldnmaintenance couldn’t fix it for hours, this was in the morning and we had to iron our clothes and dry our hair. We were told to move to another room but had to do all this by our selves with no help from the staff, when I asked to just use a room temporarily just to finish getting ready so we could go out for the day she laughed in my face. We later found out the issue took 2 minutes to fix!! So they had us move everything where they could just lend us a room to finish getting ready and by the time we got back from our day the electric would be back on.nThe staff are so rude and unprofessional, one laughed in my face, rolled her eyes at me, went on her phone for personal use whilst I was talking to her!nIf you want a relaxing, stress free break, do NOT visit this hotel!
Staff was great. So our room the air con didn't work and with no window the room was so stuffy. We had a bath but no bath plus we asked the staff and was told we removed them as we scared of people flooding rooms, was mould in bathroom, hand prints on wall above the bed from people doing the deed, toilet wouldn't flush properly so we was moved to another room , the air con worked here however the heating didn't and the corridor there for some reason smelled of number 2. Wouldn't recommend I'd suggest spending bit more for other hotels
The location of this hotel is extremely practical and for the price I paid I was impressed. However, the room I was first given had absolutely no heating and the temperature outside was as low as -1 degree. It was genuinely impossible to sleep in that room and at first when I spoke to the member of staff all I was offered was an extra duvet. Then another member of staff came on shift, I believe his name was Arj, and he sorted me out a new room with heating in just a matter of minutes into his shift. He was extremely helpful and very apologetic for the inconvenience for which I was appreciative. His hospitality made up for the no heating situation and overall for two nights it was a decent hotel.
Budget hotel, not exactly what you would expect with higher rating hotels. Location is really good - it is close to the tube station.nnThe only issue is I was informed that it would be 24 hour reception but there is no one at the reception when I wanted to check out to catch the flight. I am hopeful that i won't be overcharged.
For its location, I cannot dock points. I was very impressed with how close the hotel is to the Bakerloo line. Very convenient to get places. It didn’t feel unsafe, just a bit run down and very local - which is perfectly acceptable. The Tesco express across the road was very convenient too.nnHowever, the room left much to be desired. The small details add up so I shall bore you with them, please feel free to read as much as you wish.nn- Upon entering the room, it smelled very stagnant, like mildewn- When we went to open the window, it would not stay open, we needed to wedge something in between to get some ventilation into the roomn- The furniture was old and dusty, falling apart. The lamps did not work.n- The quality of the pillows gave us neck cramps so we asked to be supplemented with another each the following nightn- The toilet was very acceptable.n- The shower was not draining fast enough and caused an overflow of water almost flooding the toilet.n- The shower head was installed very low at chest height. The other waterfall shower head was gaping on one side causing 2 streams to happen which was not very pleasant. Only seemed to have hot or very hot temperature water, can’t complain but hard to adjust.nnOverall, we made due with our stay as it was a great value for London. I would recommend this if you are strapped for budget, but if you can spend a few more I would recommend elsewhere for a more pleasant stay.
