Super cozy and nice place! Food was very good, loved the vegetarian fish and chips, would recommend! The desert was absolutely amazing!! Would come back only for that
This restaurant is very good. The location is good to find, there are enough parking spots and inside the restaurant looks and is very cozy. The waiters are very friendly and nice. The food is excellent and also the prices are fair.
Fantastic meal, the staff were friendly helpful. We will definitely be visiting again soon.
We had a lovely time here this week. Bear Inn is a fantastic traditional pub with excellent staff, the food was good and very reasonably priced on the lunch menu. However, it lacked a bit of attention to detail, as you can see in some of the photos hollandaise sauce on the edge of the plate, a piece of onion in the sauce next to the burger, but considering this isn't a fine dining establishment, these small issues can easily be overlooked. We'll certainly return for more and hopefully experience their lovely outdoor area.
Beautiful little cosy place , open fire, polite staff, amazing food - and a great selection of ales, wine, bottles and draft
Went for brunch today with some friends. There is so choice on the brunch menu compared to other places, something for everyone. We all had different dishes and all looked and tasted amazing. Will definitely be back!
Very nice village pub. Very good food and very pleasant staff. Only negative was waited a bit too long between courses, however that didn't spoil our experience. I think they were probably short staffed or it was busier than they thought it would be. Definitely will be going again in the next few weeks.
Lovely place to visit however not up to the standard that it used to be. There were 6 of us who attended. 2 had the mixed grill, of which most was lovely but the steaks were very chewy and tough and undercooked. Myself and my husband had steaks which again were very tough and undercooked. The two smallest had kids meals, one of which was sausage which was delicious but the kids chicken burger came out as chicken goujons on a bap and my daughter couldn’t eat it, my husband tried it thinking she was being fussy typical kids but he agreed that it was not very nice. All in all the food was good but the steaks were not up to standard. For the prices on the menu we would expect it to be amazing. My husband and I used to eat here all the time before we had the children and couldn’t wait to go back but unfortunately it was a bit of a let down. Sorry for the frank review but wanted to be honest.
The service was good. It could be better if they checked if we were ok with needing any more drinks and if our meals were good. The food portions were a bit large, but it tasted lovely. I'd come back here again.
Not so good on this occasion. Website clearly states it’s dog friendly. If you book a table your dog won’t be allowed into the restaurant. Your dog can join you if you eat in the “pub” section but not in the restaurant. Why is that? Also, the Steak and ale pie was poor. It looked good when it arrived but less than half full of filling and what was mainly gravy. A shame on both counts and will think twice about going back.
