Fantastic pub/restaurant. Very welcoming from the moment of arrival. Excellent choice of drinks, food choice plenty, reasonably priced and decent portions. We'll worth a visit
Nice pub and nice food I ordered the Chilli Double Burger with an upgrade of sweet potato fries. The staff were very polite and friendly and the chef came to check on us to make sure we were happy with our meals. I would recommend visiting here if you're in the area.
My family and I came here for dinner I think for the third time, every single time the food was amazing, staff lovely and we would always have a little chat with the cook it was lovely, really. But today we come in and ordered as usually don't really see the cook and we wait around 1hr 30mins for the food to come. And the pub was quite empty with probably 3 parties coming to eat. All the steaks were too cooked and the fish was over breaded. My daughter's tikka masala platter was quite different with a partly wet naan bread and she disliked it very much for the first time as this is the food she gets at every sizzling pub. My whole family had many complaints. The sizzling platters were so, so dirty and not well washed and my wife was upset with her skewer plate. The staff and waiters didn't even come and ask how the food is as they probably know our answer throughout eating it and half the cutlery was dirty and visibly not well washed. So, I am afraid we will not be coming back at least for a long while.
Good food & beer at reasonable price. Friendly staff. Good vibes. Will back again.Food: 4/5
The place is a bit away from main routes, what makes it quite local. The last time bus didn't come to take me, there was great place to warm up with a pint of craft beer or ale and tasty dinner. No wifi, unfortunately, but that's not the place to stare into screen
We came for dinner for the 2nd time in a fortnight because of discount vouchers. The choice and quality of food generally was good. Unfortunately I wanted the garlic prawns, a "signature dish", but on both occasions they were sold out. As we were there at 5pm that was disappointing so we haven't been back since. My husband's fish and chips and the steak he had previously were both excellent and good value.
All staff were friendly and smiling. Service was good and food arrived in a short space of time. We both had a small breakfast with an additional portion of mushrooms. It was nicely presented and it was hot. All good was tasty with the exception of the half of grilled tomato which was underdone and lacking in taste. There was no hash brown, instead were 4 tiny potato croquettes which were leathery and lacking in substance. My major complaint is yet again, the lack of a hot drink that contains no caffeine! Vegetarian options: Reasonable choice of veggie options Kid-friendliness: Staff are always happy to accommodate kids Parking: Plenty of parking including some Blue Badge spaces Dietary restrictions: There are gluten free options availavle
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even give our two year old daughter a free goody bag. The service was quick and the food was tasty. We will definitely visit again.Food: 4/5
Great pub atmosphere and awesome food - really well ran establishment with very kind staff. Very clean compared to most pub locations in the area Nice place to study for exams if you come in the morning and early afternoon. Around 5pm it gets quite busy till late, and people start reserving tables and all coming in all at once. If you come without a reservation, be prepared to search a while for a table. They have several food deals which mean you can pay a lot cheaper for good quality food e.g. student discount and a 2 for £10 deal during weekdays There's an option to order online from the Sizzling Pubs app from your table. PC also does delivery if you're interested although wait times can vary between 30 and 90 minutes Overall it's a good establishment and it's clear the staff take care of the place nicely.
Ok food and drink, if you like Hungry Horse type fayre. Our meals were OK but lady at table next to us had cold chicken served in what was supposed to be a chicken burger. The decor is in definite need of updating!
