Bar Brig was perfect tonight. My family and I went for the steak night and very much enjoyed our steak, chips, and wine for 2 for 21 pounds ! The service was great and had a great time visiting with the staff. The deserts were very good as well! Churros were amazing!!! Highly reccomend.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Small but cozy and it has a nice local feel to it. Wide variety of drinks and yummy food. Great concept of cook your own steak at your table, delicious burgers and an awesome music venue downstairs. Music or comedy most nights of the week and super cheap. The sound doesn't travel upstairs into the bar, you wouldn't even know something was on if you was sitting in the bar, unless you looked.
Really nice atmosphere, good selection of beers and food! The staff is great and the place really gives you the feeling you could spend an entire day or night in there Also, one day, I've been lucky enough to listen very good live music! One of the places I prefer in Leith
Really nice place, nice food and warming but I was disappointed with slow service that I received.
First visit here last night after visiting another favourite, The Old Chain Pier and seeing Bar Brig billed as a 'sister bar' and will definitely be back. Great selection of beers, lagers, wine and spirits along with a cracking menu. The internal decor has been totally refurbished since my last visit to a past incarnation on the site. Booths around the walls and great tables for two at the bar add a very quirky feel to the place. The food was excellent, steak on hot stones, and the wine offer very hard not to take advantage of! I must also praise the staff who knew exactly how to treat their patrons. All in all Bar Brig is a very welcome addition to Leith Walk and on first impression, I cannot fault it on any level.

Great little bar on leith walk. Nice booths to sit in and a reasonable selection of beers. They have a room down stairs where the pig on gigs and jam sessions. Was there on a monday and both the music at the bar and the standard of playing down stairs were excellent.
Attended the Burns supper at the Brig Below. Great food, very interesting whiskey tasting and live music. Lovely evening. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend for a different but relaxing Burns night.
A great selection of draughts, size wise the bar seems a bit overrun with seats and tables and i personally would really avoid it if the place was busy as it would a real lack of places to stand factored with the possibility of getting in folks way would be a major bug bare However the owners really make an effort with live music and a rotation of drink and food specials, which is good. Overall and enjoyable bar just need to revisit the seating arrangements.
