Always had a great meal here. Even allow doggies into the bar area which is great to stop off after a walk with our dog. Service has always been wonderful from all staff to ensure you have a pleasant visit. Always a first choice for us to go out for a meal.

I've been in the Canalside a few times, in the restaurant and in the bar, and I've been left wanting more each time.

Their food is good, but for the prices they charge (towards The Shore and Wheelhouse prices) I would expect them to be better. 

The thing that annoys me, and my friends the most - when drinking in the bar watching football, we have to ring a bell to get attention, and often wait longer than you'd like, like we're waiting for a drink in Sportsters on a Saturday night. This can be the case with 2 or 20 people in, which is ridiculous. Last time i was in, it was around 15 minutes before i got a coffee, i was about to walk out! Can they not afford the staff, or do they simply focus on the restaurant side and the bar is an unfortunate add on?

Wonderful place with kind and warm staff.
Didn't eat here yet so can't tell about food, but I definetly like this establishment.

Just visited on a Saturday night. Mixed crowd of 20, 30-somethings and a few older couples. No idea why they have a singer playing old songs from Cliff Richards, The Shadows, Dire Straits and Pink Floyd. Obviously don't know their audience. Also they had run out of most white wines and we had to pay 16 quid for a bottle of house wine. Should have stayed home and watched X-Factor.

Good selection of dishes and really good quality at reasonable prices. The decor is really stylish and the staff were friendly. We ended up moving from the restaurant in to the bar to join in a fun pub quiz. 
The pub also allowed us to overnight in our camper on the car park.
