A SIX-time award winning music venue that delivers top quality music seven nights a week, every week. Don't be fooled by our name, we feature ALL kinds of music. Great atmosphere and bar. The band I saw tonight was outstanding. Varied acts nightly till the early hours. If I lived in Edinburgh I'd be in several times a week.

I have never felt so alienated in my life. Overpriced. Pretentious. Uncomfortable experience. the pay in girl on the door needs to learn basic manners and not turn her nose up for a polite family wishing to enter. . £7 entry fee per person and £6.50 for a pint...so expected a good night of entertainment however i came out feeling depressed. overall a very unpleasant experience, was like entering another very strange dimension that i do not want to visit ever again!! my first bad review ever! to summarise; don’t bother!

My favourite spot in Edinburgh. By far. You have to go on a weekday if you want some space or book in advance. Popular with locals and students alike.

Big band was great. Bit crowded, but that's to be expected. Small cover. Drinks priced up a bit. Very fun

I visited last Monday. Good music, but there were no tables available and no stalls at the bar (at all, I can't figure out why) and we were standing up; not so pleasant if you want to enjoy the music and the atmosphere. Also, there was a 50p fee if you paid by card, which I only encountered once more during my trip in Scotland. Prices were reasonable and with a few alterations, it could be much better.
