Camped in the top field. Nice site, good clean facilities. Fair sized pitches that were mostly fairly level. Beautiful views of the hills the other side of the river. Nice friendly pub directly opposite the camp entrance. There was a fair bit of noise from lorries on the roads to the side and behind us guess there is a quarry nearby. Fairly dark sky which was nice. Saw the warden patrol a couple of times but noisy campers are not policed after hours, which was a problem. On the whole not a bad site but could be better.
Really lovely campsite in the heart of the Manifold valley. Really nice, clean and modern facilities, great views and a lovely pub and cafe within stumbling distance. Great location for walking, Mill Dale is 10 mins drive and the Hartington trail is close by. Little bit pricey perhaps but not excessively so and the standard of the facilities show where the money goes.
Absolutely fabulous campsite in a beautiful area. The facilities are excellent. This was our second visit this weekend and we had a lovely spot near the river on Meadow Field. Lovely to see the wildlife on the river. Hartington village is nearby and is a lovely place to visit. Will definitely go to Bank House Farm Campsite again.
Great campsite. Immediately from arriving we were impressed with the friendliness of the staff on site. When we visited it was a busy weekend but with the way the campsite is organised it didn't feel that way and we had ample space to enjoy our stay. Also very clean facilities and a good little shop on site. We would recommend and will definitely return.
Stayed at the bank house campsite for 4 nights, 1 adult and 1 child. Had an absolutely incredible time, we stayed on the top field with electric hook up and the views are phenomenal from the top field I massively suggest it! The toilets and showers are kept absolutely beautifully clean all day and night. They have a great washing up area with huge fridges and freezers. Plenty washing machines and dryers for a bit of change to use. They also have lots of leaflets and a book and DVD swap area. You can hire a fire pit for £10 and a holding fee of £20. Beautiful walks in the area and incredible pubs and cafes. My very very small moan is that the top field is very close to the main road which is a hill and for some odd reason there always seemed to be lots of heavy vehicles going up it through the middle of the night, if you are not a heavy sleepy it will wake you up through the night, absolutely nothing the campsite can do to change this but maybe opt for a different field/pitch if you are a light sleeper At night the light pollution is very minor and you can see hundreds of stars on a clear night! 100% will be visiting again.
Camped for two nights on Meadow Field. We stayed midweek so the site was relatively quiet. The facilities are modern and spotless. We were aware of the walk to the facilities so this was not an issue for us. Maybe people need to actually read into what they are booking!
Been to this campsite twice and enjoyed it. Very clean and modern bathrooms and service house. The only negative is that if you camping with a tent it is quite the walk to the main facilities. The owners and additional staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful walks surrounds this area where you can walk easily to Beresford Dale and Wolfscote Dale picture is from above the Manifold Trail, both following the river Dove. Even closer is the Manifold Valley that eventually would take you to Thor's Cave. Great place and great location, would recommend.
Excellent location, friendly staff and great facilities. Bottom field has no electric however they have updated the field by putting in some toilets which makes life a lot easier. 2nd visit and will definitely return again.
Spent 5 nights on this immaculate campsite. It benefits from a well stocked shop, generous pitches, super clean bathroom facilities and free wifi. Fires are allowed if off the ground and for a small fee you can hire firepits. Most pitches are on a slight slope so we required ramps for our van. These were supplied by the site for a refundable deposit. Well behaved dogs are welcome and there is a massive dog walking field/play area on site. There is also a dog friendly pub opposite the site enterance with a good selectionof ales and reasonably priced food menu. Plenty of walks/cycle paths amongst stunning countryside. Alton Towers and Heights of Abraham theme parks are within a short drive. All in all a highly recommended well run site for a relaxing break.
Great site, nicely maintained. Riverside location. Facilities are modern and immaculate. Pub opposite does good food and good selection of beers
