Amazing place. An absolute beautiful village and countryside with heaps of walking and cycling trails all around. The owners were amazing. We got stuck in the field and they organised the family tractor to pull us out, and as the weather had ruined the local water supply, the owner brought us 6x1.5l water bottles to make up for the shortage, and even let us borrow an electric hook up extension Really lovely place and people. Fully recommend. Will be back.

We wanted to camp with our tent for 1 night last week so we called this campsite which thankfully had availability and still remains open during the winter period whereas most campsites are closed at this time of year. The guy who runs the site met us when we got there and was very friendly. No loos/showers or amenities but this is great for 'wild' camping at a very cheap rate.

Great little site with fabulous views. Really quiet and peaceful. No showers or loos but who cares. Its nice to get back to basics, surely thats what real camping is all about!

when we arrived i sent a text saying so,  EDD answered saying he would meet us in 5 minuets ,he at once welcomed us and gave us some local info regarding things to do and the bus times to ashbourne if we needed it, EDD is a very freindly farmer and we hope soon to visit again.
