AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Would give zero stars if i could. Ordered a plant pot from them, it arrived covered in BIRD EXCREMENT and green algae type material. Does not look like a brand new pot, it looks a disgrace. I cannot believe they allowed a product to be sent out in this condition. Customer service is dreadful, no one answers the phone and no one replies to emails. Two and half weeks I have been trying to resolve the issue and get a refund. Will be making a complaint to trading standards as the product received was certainly not the same as advertised, not to mention a health hazard covered in bird droppings. Appalling for such a big name company.
Be careful when having your house fitted by B&Q, as the tradesmen they used are unprofessional. The work suppose to take 4 weeks but they took 6 weeks instead. There was some days they didn't turn up because they was doing jobs elsewhere. They fitted the oven poorly, they boxed it in with no vent for the heat to escape and they place it close to the electrical hobs. So one time when using the oven and the electric hobs together, the oven shut down we thought it broke. Then the extractor fan, our old one link to the outside. They didn't create one, when pointing it out they said our fan didn't need one as it filters itself. Later we found the parts, the tube to link the extractor fan to the outside. They just want to do as little as possible. The electrician took out our central heating control panel thinking it was a Hive and wanted to place it in the utility room. When they couldn't it was OUR problem and refused to place it back to it's original place. The same electrician who checks all the electrics and gives a electrical safety certificate. We had new sockets in. But found out by chance that one plug was faulty, it couldn't switch off!nLastly they did a poor job with the utility sink, it has been more then a year and we notice a small puddle and assume it was coming from the washing machine. We called a plumber who investigated the leak, it was such a minor problem but created damaged to the cupboards. B&Q workmen did not fit the rubber properly from the condensate pipe. When reporting this to B&Q they did not take full responsibility for the tradesmen they used. As they said that the pipe is ours and not their. But we had a new sink fitted with new pipes for that sink, new tabletop, cupboard and tiles. The new sink is not place originally where the old sink was. The cupboard they cut for the pipe works the divider is where the pipe joint is and also the problem leak. I believe the tradesman knew of the leak and placed a magazine cupboard manual to soak in the slow leak as couldn't be bothered to amend the problem and just want to finish and leave. We didn't spend thousands of pounds to have unprofessional and untrained builders to do the job unless you want the stress and headaches that comes along with it. Won't be using B&Q again.nNo such thing as 5 years guarantee.
A very big store that sells everything one needs for building and DIY. I went in to buy some timber . The ones I wanted were in stock and reasonably priced. A very impressive store, easy to park and with disabled parking plus ' trade only' parking. No queue at the checkout and a burger van waiting outside . A very enjoyable visit
Big shout out to Matt Gardening section and JaneFront of house / checkout, both exceptionally friendly and helpful people and a credit to the store and brand. Both went above and beyond to help me get what I needed and pack it for transport.
Don’t order online for home delivery from store. There is no one to help, no communication, orders not delivered, messages have been left but no call backs. Head office can’t see store systems and if you try customer complaints you end up in a call centre in South Africa!nOrder finally gets changed but they refund missing items without telling you which makes the entire order useless as the items are a matching set!nTotally nightmare thats already taken hours to try and resolve.
