Great shopping experience at IKEA Birmingham! The store is clean, well-organised, and offers a wide range of quality products at good prices. Friendly staff, easy parking, and a smooth checkout. Highly recommended!
I was very disappointed with the cleanliness at the Swedish Bistro in IKEA Birmingham during my recent visit. The dining and recycling areas were very messy, with used cups, trays, napkins and leftover food left everywhere. The counters near the drinks machine were also dirty with crumbs and spills.nSeveral tables had not been cleared, which meant customers had to clean the tables themselves before sitting down. This should not happen in a place where food is served, and it made the experience quite unpleasant.
Parking easy as went on a Monday, walked around then decided on lunch, rather busy but understood that it was lunchtime and kids holidays but, and a big but, the queues to pay were long as 2 tills open, unfortunately by the time we got seated food was cold, my wife had to go back and get another meat balls meal as they were cold, after they tested the meat with a heat probe they replaced her meal, don’t get me going on the coffee and tea machines that don’t read the qr code once to receipt has been handled and creased.nnNot fair on the frontline staff having to put up with this, frontline staff are the face and backbone of any business but having to deal with poor management because of lack of active tills is disappointing.
I recently visited IKEA Wednesbury and had a fantastic experience! The store offers an impressive variety of furniture and home essentials for every style and budget. From modern designs to classic pieces, everything is beautifully displayed and easy to navigate. Prices are affordable, and the quality is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my shopping trip enjoyable and stress-free. Definitely one of the best places for all your home needs!
We visited IKEA Wednesbury in early January, a few days after Christmas, to pick up some household essentials like coat hangers, mugs and glasses. We had a Christmas gift card to use, so it seemed like a good time to go.nnThe car park is huge and we’ve always managed to find a space in the past, but this time it was very busy. That said, it was good to see staff out in the car park helping guide traffic and keeping things moving. There were at least three or four of them that we noticed, which really helped. A lot of places just leave you to it, so this was a big plus.nnInside, the store was exactly what you’d expect from IKEA. It’s massive, well laid out, and easy to find your way around if you follow the arrows. Staff were all in the usual bright yellow uniforms and everyone we spoke to was really helpful and friendly. I asked a couple of questions about where to find something and what scent they were using in one of the rooms, and they were more than happy to help.nnThere were also a few areas dotted around for kids, which is a nice touch. We spotted toy kitchens with play fruit and veg, and even a touchscreen on the wall for them to interact with. Definitely handy for parents trying to keep little ones occupied during a longer visit.nnToilets were a little smelly on this occasion, but considering how busy it was, they were clean and well stocked, so no real complaints.nnWe didn’t eat in the restaurant this time as the queue was quite long, but we’ve eaten there in the past and it’s always been good. It’s not fancy, but it’s cheap and cheerful, and usually hits the spot if you want a break in the middle of your shop.nnAt the tills, we used our gift card and it worked with no issues at all. The checkout process was smooth and there were staff around to help if needed.nnOverall, a solid visit. It was busy, but everything still ran pretty smoothly and the staff were very friendly.
