Police stop during test drive → £100 fine + 3 pointsnnI test‑drove an MG at Arnold Clark Huddersfield. The keys were given to me by Kapre. The windscreen had dealership stickers. During the drive I was stopped by the police and issued a £100 fixed penalty and 3 points. I reported this to the Arnold Clark and followed up repeatedly between 17/08/2025 and 12/11/2025. The final response blamed me and did not address the impact or how this will be prevented.nnBased on my experience, I’m not satisfied with safety checks or duty of care at this branch, and the customer service is appalling at Arnold Clark.
Simon and Luke, we're all great help with my daughter new car. They supported her throughout the process and helped her with other thing. The environment at Arnold clarke is a nice relaxing atmosphere, always asking if you want a drink.nI've always used vw but would definitely go to Arnold Clarke in the future.
Dealt with Brad today to sell my vehicle who was great. The process was simple and easy and I was given a fair price. Would recommend selling your vehicle to Arnold Clark. Thanks Brad!
I went to look at one of the cars they had in stock! Sales staff was excellent. But the sales manager Mr Simon Murphy very rude and very pressuring, very pushy and unprofessional! He went to say if you don't buy today, you won't get this deal tomorrow if you come back! He went on to say he gave me the best price for my car, after he low balled me with his silly first offer! He said he couldn't give me anymore or he'll get bollocked by his boss! Why start of with a silly valuation in the first place?!! He made me feel really uncomfortable.nnI'll also be submitting a formal complaint to Arnold Clark about the people they choose as managers. Simon will be mentioned in this!nnI've seen several reviews about him, why hasn't anything been said or actioned yet!nnI only wished James Radley was in, he's the total opposite of Simon. James speaks to you with respect, he's kind polite and treats you as you should be I've dealt with James at 2 other branches.
