Recently purchased a car and have high praise for the level of service i was given throughout. This started with responding efficiently to all questions and quires i had about the car I was looking to purchase. As I have previously encountered problems when purchasing cars from different dealership the Sales Agent Jack Harvey tailored my walk round video to all concerns I had. Jack was excellent throughout and I never purchased the car prior to travelling to the show room however Jack ensured the car was ready and even printed the service invoices that had not been stamped prior to the sale. He assisted me with the finance application and explained all relevant add ons but was not trying to pressure me into any which was good. The full experience from start to finish dealing with this branch and Jack have been exceptional and i would highly recommend them to anyone.
I had a really disappointing experience at this dealership. I reserved a car on their website and within an hour or so I had a call from a sales rep called Barry. I felt like he had no interest in telling me anything about the car, but instead was trying to push the finance through. I explained that I would like to see and test drive the car first before I agreed to finalising the finance. Barry explained they could start the finance process to save time and took some details from me. We agreed that I would come into the branch the next day to view the car and test drive it before I agreed to the finance. Barry explained that he wasn’t on shift the next day but one of the managers would be available.nnWhen I came into the branch the next day no one had a clue I was coming to view the car. The managers showed barely any interests when it came to the test drive, things somehow got worse. I was handed the keys with almost no details about the car and sent off to test drive the car on my own, with no guidance about the car’s features. It felt careless and unprofessional.nnThe car itself was in a shocking state. It had a strange, unpleasant smell that made the drive uncomfortable, and the interior was clearly not well maintained. There were even brown smears on the ceiling upholstery, which is completely unacceptable for a vehicle they’re trying to sell.nnWhen I returned to the branch I was met by the manager, who asked how the drive was and mentioned ‘the finance has been accepted, we’ll get it the car sorted for you then’nnI explained that I was not interested in the car, I reserved it to view it and test drive it and if I liked the car and then I would consider purchasing it. I mentioned that the condition of the car was poor and gave the reasons, there was no apology or interest, the car was put straight out to the lot again. I asked questions about other cars they had available and got a response of ‘have a look around the branch and see’ and away he went back into the branch.nnI then got a phone call from Barry the next day trying to get me to take the car again. I explained I wasn’t interested and that I asked for the finance not to be processed/accepted before I had viewed the car. He had no interest in providing an explanation as to why it was processed to the acceptance stage. I now have a hard search against my credit report for this car.nnWhen I explained to Barry why I didn’t like the car and the poor condition of it, he mentioned that I was picky. If declining a car because it smelled like urine and dogs, and because it was dirty and had brown smears on the interior roof is picky, then I’m sure there must be a lot of picky people out there. I think the majority of people would have rejected this car too.nnOverall, a very poor experience. I wouldn’t recommend this dealership to anyone looking for decent service or a quality vehicle.nnThe response from the branch owner on the back of my review, just confirms how poor this branch is and that the manager is a liar. Why would I go to the effort of leaving a poor review just for the sake of it
We initially ordered a new car from the Seafield, Edinburgh branch of Arnold Clark. We were messed around for weeks with no date for delivery of our car, paperwork not being put through and sales people not calling us back.nnI looked at the used vehicles on the Arnold Clark website and found a car we liked at the Grangemouth branch.nnI looked at the car on Friday and by the following Monday we were driving the car home.nnJack Harvey was our sales consultant and he was absolutely excellent. Gave us plenty of time to look at the car and make sure it was right for us then sorted out all the admin very efficiently.nnIt was a pleasure to buy a car from Jack and made up for the bad experience we encountered at Seafield.nnThanks Jack!
I had a great experience here! Ross was incredibly helpful, kind, and made the whole process easy from start to finish. I never felt pressured and felt like my needs were actually heard. I’m very happy with my purchase and would highly suggest this dealership to anyone looking for a stress-free experience!
