Been here for 8 years. Some doctors have changed but some are still there. Dr Marsh and Prof Delenay are always understandably supportive and helped me a lot. I highly recommend. I’ve had also the experience to be seen by a couple of nurses, who are very professional, delicate, and polite.
GPs I have seen so far have been good here and helpful. But one female GP I saw today, I thought she would understand and why requested a female GP. She had No compassion, very heavy handed, stern, uncaring. Didnt seem to want to put herself out to help at all with meds for pain and suggested I look online and said it was just my age. I was quite annoyed and felt I wasted my time with appointment and she was running late and got passed off. They are supposed to be providing a caring service to patients not act like a bull in a china shop!...
The staff here have been exceptional. The lovely girl served me at the front and was so polite and attentive to my needs I wish I got her name I went for an appointment and saw Dr Sarah, she was so sweet with my daughter and she now only wants to see Dr Sarah. Thank you Albion street for your amazing care
I was given a wrong appointment to a different clinic. I had to travel far when I was sick only to realise I that they didnt pass on my apponitment details correctly both to patinet and other clinic. I had an email confirming appointment but the other clinic did not so I had to travel again next day. I have recently been very sick and this GP practice is very unhelpful. I never get appointments on time. If a patient needs urgent care they have to be on phone for hours before they can speak to their rude staff. One staff member was exceptionally rude when I called to ask 3 questions. By the time i got to my 3rd question. He was like -" Oh my god, there's more? ". Very unprofessional. I got a blood test to treat an urgent condition and I can not see results of my reports for 20 days. I did not get a trlephone appointment as well to discuss it sooner. Overall, extremely unsatisfied with this practice.
I have been a patient at this practice for some time now and have always had the best experiences. My favorite doctor is Sarah Boughdady, she is so sweet and friendly and tended to my needs in a comforting and proffesional matter. The practice manager booked me in and made me feel welcome and since then so has everyone else ive had the pleasure of speaking with.
What's really fun about this practice is that they give you a telephone appointment for three weeks hence but won't give you an approximate time of that appointment, so obviously the one time of day you are away from the phone for 15 minutes is when the doctor will call. I tried to book another appointment for three weeks time but was told that won't be possible until the week after. I had been advised I need heart surgery in the next six months...but will not be able to see a gp for at least another month. Secondarily in 2016 I booked a next day appointment because my ankle was three times the size and purple - I'd walked about on it for a week not realising it was broken. Dr Love berated me for booking a next day appt, and is apparently unable to recognize a broken bone. Her attitude changed completely when I got out private insurance and requested an MRI referral. I was fortunate to have a job with private healthcare at the time, but the classist attitude demonstrated by the doctor has always bothered me.
I just waited 23 minutes to speak to someone and first possible phone appointment with the Gp I wanted is in 3.5 weeks time, its a joke! For my last appointment I arrived and was wrongly told I had no appointment and if I hadn't insisted I would have gone home unseen, since it had been booked under the wrong patient's name.Hopeless!!
Reading all the comments about Albion street practice and personal experiences of its rude receptionist, unprofessional senior nurse, and disrespectful behaviour by admin staff except the doctors when I was trying to get my son vaccinated is concerning in a place where care and compassion are expected. Unfortunately, this is downside of free healthcare and it has become a common issue almost everywhere. While writing this, i acknowledged that change may not occur, but it will ease the humiliation and by knowing you are not alone who faced this level of disappointment you will lower your expectations at this GP practice.
I've been a patient at GP Practice for over a year, and my experience has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you step into their welcoming and well-organised clinic, it's clear that patient care is their top priority. The staff at GP Practice are incredibly friendly and professional. Receptionists greet you with a warm smile and handle all appointments efficiently, ensuring minimal wait times. The online booking system is user-friendly, making it easy to schedule or modify appointments at your convenience. The medical team is phenomenal. Each doctor I've seen has been thorough, attentive, and genuinely caring. They take the time to listen to your concerns, provide clear explanations, and develop personalised treatment plans. Their expertise and dedication to patient well-being are evident in every interaction. What sets GP Practice apart is their holistic approach to healthcare. They offer a range of services beyond general practice, including mental health support, chronic disease management, and preventative care. The practice also emphasises patient education, empowering individuals to take an active role in their health. The facility itself is modern and spotless, with state-of-the-art equipment. Safety and hygiene are clearly prioritised, which is especially reassuring in these times. Overall, GP Practice is a shining example of what healthcare should be. They combine professional excellence with compassionate care, creating a positive and supportive environment for all patients. I highly recommend GP Practice to anyone seeking top-notch medical care
Like most I have had difficulties trying to get an appointment that you don’t have to wait two or more weeks and her the last few years, while expecting this to occur again I was more than surprised as one of the staff on reception, again, thank you Kathleen, really proved how people actually look after others and as after hanging up the call with me that initially left me feeling defeated she did everything she could and ensure I was able to get an appointment much earlier.
