We had a fantastic overnight here for a surprise birthday group including dogs 🐕🐶. We absolutely loved it. Lovely staff (and lovely wedding party who all kept stopping to say hello to the dogs 😁). Food lovely. Bar a bit dear. The only thing I would find fault with is the waiting time at our dinner, including waiting too long for our round of drinks - maybe they were short staffed. Spa and treatments great. Definitely fancy going back.

Beautiful castle, nice hotel. Strange mix of traditional and modern decor. Pleasant staff. Gorgeous spa facilities and good variety of spa treatments. Lovely restaurant - really nice food at dinner and great hot/cold buffet breakfast selection. Rooms are not very well sound proofed but clean & comfy. Recommended and would stay here again.

Not in main castle. Rooms basic but clean. Food nice. Spa access average. Staff - receptionist friendly. Wine expensive as most hotels are. Gardens well kept. Need to sort out car park - uneven.

The service at this hotel was shocking, definitely not up to the standard of a so called 4 star hotel. We were here for a function and it was bad bad service from the start. Nobody had drinks, the food was poor and the service was slow. Staff were rude and stand offish. Like they couldn’t be bothered. We asked for milk and sugar for coffee and the bar staff told us to “get it off the other table” which was someone else’s dirty table. I think it is totally unacceptable. By far the worst service I’ve ever had and wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here.

First time there. Had to ask to be shown round the spa as this was not offered, even though this was our first time there. Had to ask for robes and towels as not just given out which should of been. There should have been flip flops provided so we could go from swimming area up to the therapy suite, We again had to ask but they had run out if them. The pool area, sauna, steam room etc was lovely and clean. Bright and roomy A bit more attention could have been given to the changing area. The therapy suite was lovely and i highly reccommend it. Excellent . Staff great. We also had lunch there which was first class, could not fault it. Staff very pleasent
