Word is it's closing down and you 1starers will really have something to moan about when it's gone! The staff do the best that they can. Just like all establishments there are peak and off peak times - furthermore there are even worse post offices in the vicinity... don't let so called prestige postcodes fool you... I've found them to be helpful and efficient. It will be a great loss to the community if it is true that it's closing down.

Large pst office where you can have your post or questions answered quickly most of the time. Can be incredibly busy sometimes too though. But they do now have self check out machines with someone to help which I found unusual. Easy to get too and freindly staff.

Absolutely appealing customer service! I visited this post office today and was reprimanded by one of the employees (middle aged Asian lady), when I asked her for help. And I wasn't the only one being told off for requesting assistance - she generally seemed to treat customers like a nuisance.

This is a warning for anyone who has to go there to have their finger prints scanned and photo taken for their driving licence or other documents. I initially went in there and walked to the booth and waited for a while, spoke to the person before me and they said they've been told to wait there but no one in the counter. After the person before me finished, staff #1 said I had to join the main queue. I then saw a sign somewhere said that everyone has to join the main queue first. They should put that sign right in front of the booth. I joint the long queue and waited for ages. The post office was really busy and a bit chaotic. Some customers started shouting at the staff... I didn't want to stay there for any longer. After who knows how long, it was finally my turn. The lady behind the counter just told me to wait at the booth... So I went back there after all these time. There was another customer before me. Staff #2 was serving them. They went to another counter to pay (WHY?) then staff #2 just stayed in that counter and never came back. I waited and waited and some more people started to queue after me. A manager-like person saw me a few times and said nothing and did nothing. After all these time, staff #1 came back (where had they gone?) finally. The procedure didn't take long. But the waiting was ridiculous. Staff #1 told me to go to another counter for payment (WHY? There was a card machine at the booth). My favourite moment of my whole experience was staff #1 asked if I wanted to top up my mobile phone at the end of the payment! LOVE IT. You seriously need to take a day off for this!

Our post office system is awfully underfunded. Every branch I go to is very clearly understaffed and the decor and technology used is not acceptable. Not the fault of the employees Sort it out UK government. Truly awful.
