Been here many times now, for breakfast, lunch, coffee, cake, food is always lovely as is the coffee - hot or iced, Peter is very welcoming, well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Met three friends here for a catch up at 10.30am on a Friday, quite busy but got served quickly. Ended up staying 2 hours! Didn't eat, drank tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. The display of cakes was absolutely amazing, mouth watering and very tempting. Central location, obviously very popular, well laid out and a nice vibe. Products on display to buy were lovely too. Will definitely return one afternoon to try the cake!
What a great cafe/shop. Delicious cakes, excellent choice of meals and so much choice for drinks. The staff are brilliant and friendly. As for the shopping experience, so much to see across the price spectrum. Loved it - on a day visit to Matlock, we visited twice.

Enjoyed a tea and cake here, nice gift shop and well set out. However a bit expensive for the gifts. It's a nice place otherwise and staff were friendly and tables were clean.
Excellent coffee avoid the chain nearby loads of seating outside.
We popped in here last week as we were visiting Matlock on a very wet day. Great service from all the staff and we were made to feel very welcome. Had delicious toasties and my husband had a slice of the banana and pistachio cake all of which was yummy. Lovely ambience and some great gifts to browse aswell Don't hesitate to give it a try, you won't be disappointed. .
The cheese scones are some of the best I've ever had and not time. Not cheap but well worth itFood: 5/5
Went not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised by a tasty toastie and nice coffee.Food: 5/5
