Amazing food! I had the mac n cheese chips and salad, which was so good! My mum had small fry up which she really enjoyed especially finding a nice cafe that does tinned tomatoes and oatcakes is a plus. Staff really friendly and attentive. Will definitely be by go to cafe now.

Wonderful place to have breakfast. Very friendly service and they made us feel welcome as soon as we entered the door. Food was really tasty and very good value. We recommend this place to everyone.
My partner and I stumbled on this cafe while walking through Matlock before a football game and we enjoyed every moment. I'm a vegetarian, and the big veggie breakfast was delicious and well worth the price. My first time trying an oatcake as well. My partner went for the scampi and chips which was a decent portion and served steaming hot just as she likes it. The host was happy to show me the separate area the vegetarian dishes are cooked in, even though this isn't something I'm fussed over, I appreciated the care that goes into providing a decent meal for someone with a different diet. Easily recommend to anyone in Matlock for the day.
Lovely cafe, friendly, helpful staff and a great breakfast. I’ve eaten here a number of times, the large veggie breakfast is fab and comes with an oatcake. The homemade soup is tasty too! Will be back again soon.Food: 5/5
Called in here with the wife, mum and 2 dogs whilst spending the day on the peak rail. Food fab, service quality and staff very friendly. Can’t recommend this cafe enough. If you want a proper home cooked meal in a relaxed environment this is the place. If we ever come to Matlock again we will definitely be coming back here.Food: 5/5
Delightful little place, was struggling to find somewhere in Matlock dog friendly that wasn’t rammed during school half term. This was perfect!!! Good price and great food. Thank you Matlock cafe!!! If unsure, go for it.Food: 5/5
What a lovely cafe and lovely owners. The atmosphere here is great. The food is homemade and really good comfort food. The cottage pie and burgers were great! Exceeded our expectations of a quick lunch. We were looking for a small business rather than a chain and we are so happy we chose this place. The owners here are so kind and that made it all the better. Stop off here and eat some great homemade food!
Such a hidden gem of a cafe. The owners are so welcoming & create a genuinely warm atmosphere. Foods great & all home made. Don’t be fooled by the lack of glamour.Food: 5/5
I couldn’t give more stars. I would give them all! Me and 5 others were bracing ourselves for a long day hiking and I was having my fingers crossed we’ll find seats inside on a Saturday morning. We were welcomed and the staff were happy to see us! I instantly felt like at home. Lovely food, great atmosphere. It will be the cafe I will always return when in Matlock. I had a “Breakfast 2”, perfect for big eaters :p Kid-friendliness: It has kid food
