I went to the embassy with my mum on the 19th April 2024 and the staff were great. Customer service was wonderful and everyone was so helpful. This is the first time I have gone to a zim government workplace and felt like home. I really hope this continues to happen because it was a breath of fresh air to experience
I would like to thank the amazing staff that served me today, from the friendly guy by the door , the 2 ladies behind the counters and the lovely elderly gentleman who does the fingerprints he makes everyone comfortable You guys made me proud to be Zimbabwean. Thank you so much
Attendant invited to view a destitute at his spot l maintained a vigil overnight on the third of June, adding fortifications and ideas in a lively interaction along the Agar Street edge of the office nearest to The Strand. The fortified camp provoked staff to assist removal and two young police officers were then instrumental in Ilya moving across Agar Street to a corner on The Strand abandoned by a commercial entity.
I would like to personally congratulate the Ambassador in London and his/her Team for making the Zimbabwe house in Strands a smilable place, that place was the reason people hated their country even more, the previous STAFF was exceedingly Rude and could not communicate with the public well, the place made us feel as if we in the UK were the ones causing Zimbabwe to be what it is, I am grateful of the ladies on the front desk all smiles and very helpful in fact all members of staff the young man by the door there Sekuru at the back the team is amazing plse keep it up there, the beuity of Zimbabwe starts right there
They must have a photocopying machine in the building. A nigerian is photocopying for zimbabweans when our own zimbabwean embassy is supposed to be doing it. We can't be walking 200 meters just to make copies. They must we pay a lot for parking when they must secure parking for their own countrymen
Just went there today and I cannot fault a thing! The staff were brilliant, and efficient. I experienced them helping others too explaining the documentation required very patiently and professionally etc. The website may be an issue but its safe to say if you want to renew your passport then take your Original ID plus a clear photocopy, original birth certificate plus a clear copy, old passport or crime reference number, photographs Id shop on Northumberland Street take the best for just a tenner plus your £65 in cash. It will make life easier for you and also for the staff. I previously had a bad experience there but today it felt like home. The new ambassador and his team are very service oriented and I think they deserve to be appreciated for doing a good job!
I called up the office as I had an enquiry. I was truly disappointed with how the phone call was received. From the offset when the receptionist picked up the call, she was nonchalant and sounded unenthusiastic. She then proceeded to be condescending and rude throughout the whole phone call and hung up abruptly at the end. We are Zimbabweans, after all, if we can't treat each other with respect. What good is it? There has to be a high level of customer service delivered as I was calling an Embassy after all, not a department store. I wonder how I would have been treated if I had a serious enquiry! I truly hope that not all staff in the Zimbabwean Embassy behave this way. If so, I'd suggest staff are trained up on how to deliver good customer service. Remember, you're a representative of Zimbabwe. A little decorum goes a long way. Treat others how you want to be treated...
Visiting Zimbabwe House was at first very daunting because l hadn't been able to find out information about what's needed. I went there to renew my passport and the initial feeling of stress tool over as l hadn't photocopied my documents which they need a photocopy ideally colour of your residence permit card, chitupaInternational Zimbabwean ID, back page of your Zimbabwean passport and birth certificate too. The lovely gentleman at the door reception was phenomenal John or Nhoj he lightened the atmosphere and made me feel more comfortable he directed me to when l needed to go to copy these documents, which is directly opposite to the building in Rymans store which thankfully isn't too far or hard to find. I didn't have any passport pictures taken too so had to walk literally 5 mins up the road to their designated photographer who was absolute fantastic and demonstrated to me why its ideal to use him which with pictures at Snappy snaps for example the quality isn't as great as his and sometimes they get rejected from elsewhere why take the chance in driving all the way from Manchester or Birmingham only to have to do this trip again if rejected. So I would recommend for £10 to go and get Faraz's expert service that is regulated by the embassy and get pictures done on the day you come. Do remember to have light to no makeup on ideally, hair tied back or away from face and behind ears, no facial jewellery and a dark coloured top essentially black. I went there wearing a orange top but luckily for me Faraz pulled out all stops to help me. The details of his photography is handed to you at the main reception and it is literally a 5mins walk from Zimbabwe House. Now with their opening g times of 9-12.30 you want to make sure you are able to stay on top of your time and not waste any. But do expect to be there for a few hours so make sure you eat before you arrive or plan to eat after. It all can feel a bit daunting the ladies at the reception can seem a bit stuck up but honestly they have had alot of Zimbabweans come there and mock them, be rude to them so they are only protecting themselves but being reserved and coming across a bit cold. I got to speak to them towards the end and when l spoke in shona the lady who was serving me who has a short hairstyle almost bald was startled l spoke in Shona and we basically had a chat. She was so lovely and warm infact everything opposite to what l thought they came across like and she explained how like woth any face to face service you can never rally please some people and we all are fighting something in our lives as humans we don't know when to not put it on others that have no effect of whatever that problem is. It can be a cruel world but we just need to remember to be kind to everyone. I hope this can help others needed to go to the embassy and also a little kindness at the reception can go a long way as these ladies find us all just as daunting as we do the whole process.
The staff were really helpful and friendly. Very nice and professional too. It truly felt like home speaking in Shona and they were very patient considering I went there with a baby too. Thank you embassy of Zimbabwe for an exceptional service
I had a good talk with Samantha she was a good soul and helpful on every aspect keep it up.ndabatsirikana
