You don't need to go to Egypt to see an obelisk. Fun fact the Spinx are both facing the wrong way. They were installed wrongly, but by the time someone noticed it was too late to move them.
If you can't go to Egypt to feel the energy of the pharaohs then go in London next to Albert Bridge and see obelisk and two bronze replicas of Egyptian sphinxes sit on either side of Cleopatra's Needle and bear de inscription,, The good God Thuthmosis III given life" is written hieroglyphics.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait

A large statue by the river. The needle is one of a pair of obelisks. Together named cleopatra's needles. Moved from ruins in Egypt. The other needle is in New York. Either side we have sphinx watching the needle. It looks bold to look at, and makes an excellent statue in front of the beautiful London skyline.
A very impressive obelisx given to Britain by the Egyptian government in the 19th century. It is over 3000 years old, standing at almost 70ft tall with 2 sphinx on either side. Great views by the river Thames on the embankment side.Wait timeNo wait

If you love Egyptian archaeology and even if you don't go and see it. The oldest statue in London. Has shrapnel holes left in place from world war one. Great views of the Thames and a nice walk through the park opposite to get to and from Embankment station.
there is a place where you can sit on the side of the river away from passers-by, with a glass of wine or a book. an incredibly peaceful view. And I found an art object on a stone on the Thames side. It was like a sign
It's worth passing by this site as you walk along the Thames. As you head to more popular sites, it is likely to be close to your path between areas. The plaque provides the needed background on the column to appreciate it as a piece of history.
