Came to see female voices in Jazz and it did not disappoint some great covers and a great atmosphere. The food menu while minimal was prepared fresh and tasted great and the drink choices were great!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Went for the Life light display, it was short and sweet. Could have been longer, and more light shows, especially as we queued for over half an hour. Still nice though.Visited onWeekendWait time30–60 minReservation recommendedYes
Still elevated to the clouds of joy and mesmerized by the incredible talent of The Baroque Chamber Orchestra of London. Incredible performance on this Friday after Thanksgiving in St-Martin-in-the-Fields. We had front row seats. The intensity of the cellist and the top violinist will stay with me forever. Bravo a thousand times. Must must MUST experience.
This church is open for events lots during the week. The cafe in the crypt is a great place for food. I highly recommend it if you're visiting this part of London with young children and need a place with a bit more space and a slower pace for a lunch break. The prices are normal for London but the extra seating, highchair availability, and access to good changing rooms and toilets is really helpful.
I enjoyed the best Fish and Chips with sweet garden peas that I have ever eaten . Beautiful staff and marvellous surroundings.
Love the lunchtime concerts at St Martin's! The acoustics are great. And the Crypt is an excellent place to have lunch before or after.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Concerts are a little special here. The church itself is over granduer with a basic structure of puritanism. The distinct far window is to behold is this the entrance to a portal. Candlelight concerts are not just candlelit, but have candles shattered about.
Expensive drinks in the courtyard to start the evening. Limited menu downstairs in the cafe prior to the show starting. Great music sound and venue even though you have to shuffle around to avoid the posts blocking your view of the show. I would go again but definitely eat and drink before I attend.Visited onWeekendWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNot sure
A world-famous modern and heritage attraction overlooking London’s Trafalgar Square. St Martin's is renowned for its cultural events, church community, as well as connecting people facing homelessness with practical support. It's also where I began building my board trustee experience, serving for 3 years until 2020. Be sure to check out its concerts, lectures, and architecture
Since the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields is considered one of the best chamber orchestras in the world, there is a lot of expectation for them to deliver an incredible performance. Thankfully, they live up to the “hype”. The performance of Mozart’s Requiem that I attended was a brilliant performance with a warm, candle-lit atmosphere. If you are at all interested in classical music and are in London you should absolutely check out their performance schedule.
