A really different experience to the typical English Heritage attraction. A little tricky to find without a sat nav as there are no sign posts, and parking can be a bit of an issue. It's a guided tour only every hour which is understandable once your inside. The tour I thought was great and very informative. The video introduction was a little grim but I suppose there is no fairytale ending to nuclear warfare.

Totally amazing place I've lived in York over 50yrs I only found out about this place 10 yrs ago and when I got told about it I thought I was getting told a Yarn!! Till I went to have a look for myself very interesting and a place that's a must for a visit and worth the money

Didn't expect much, but was well worth the visit. Interested and articulate tour guide. Fascinating stuff, and quite different to the usual English Heritage site.
