Went to lunch yesterday fot our 61st anniversary. Had head great things of the restaurant but disappointed. We did get 50% off our main course because of a promotion but I’d have been very disappointed if we’d have paid full price! My husband & our friends ordered fish & chips, I being vegetarian ordered the portobello sandwich as there really wasn’t much vegetarian choice, as usual. We waited quite a long while the the waitress came to tell us there was only one portion of fish left! So menus out again, then she came back to say there was another portion so the men had the fish & my friend ordered the potabello sandwich too. The fish was very nice the men said but the mushy peas looked horrible, I cook them all the time at home & they had been cooked to death! The sandwich which was missing the caramelised onion was very bland & boring, only toasted on one side too so soggy on the bottom, fries were not a good quality too many bad bits for my liking. I had ice cream for dessert bu t what a stingy portion, friends had the apple crumble with watery custard! The waitresses were very good & pleasnt, tablecloth & cutlery nice but food was nothing special.
The stay was absolutely wonderful! The hotel exceeded all my expectations.nA perfect blend of comfort and luxury - I would highly recommend this place.nThe staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.nExceptional service! Everyone went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay Sam really looked after us all and the bar manger was exceptional sorry did not get your namenI celebrated my 60 birthday with all my family we stayed the night and all the ladies had our makeup done before we went out.nRooms were all different and the decoration was exceptional and loved the china tea cups.nEvery thing in the rooms was of the highest quality and had the most comfortable stays ever.nnEmma helped me so much in booking the day with make up artist and photographer.nPlus the Christmas decorations were up which made the stay even more beautiful.nI would highly recommend anybody to stay at this beautiful luxurious hotel.nThe only fault we had to go home.
Birthday lunch with friends. Serviettes themselves set the standard for this venue! Four of us had a wonderful lunch. Staff were attentive and welcoming and the ambience was perfect. Although we hadn’t mentioned the lunch was for a birthday, the staff picked up on it and brought candle and cake at the end of the meal! No presumption of service charge on the bill, which was refreshing nowadays. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely return. Well done all. First class
I recently hosted my sister’s baby shower at Worlington Hall and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish, and Emma made the whole process so easy with clear, friendly communication throughout - nothing was ever too much trouble. The venue was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and we felt so well looked after on the day. Thank you so much for helping make it such a special celebration.
I recently hosted my baby shower here as a private event. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and the room set up was amazing. An open fire and beautifully dressed for Christmas. I would 100% recommend it and will be using again for the future. All my guests loved it! We had a delicious roast dinner at a very reasonable price. Thank you to all staff at the Worlington hall for making it such a special event.
