Touring Caravan and Tent Camp Site

Story

Perfect place for the avid plane spotter as we are situated at the end of the runway at RAF Mildenhall. One of the most important USAF air bases in Europe. We get all types of aircraft in and out of here, plus we are only a few miles from RAF Lakenheath, which is one of the USAF's fighter bases.

Camping is a great way to relax without spending a fortune. We have plenty of room as well as electric hook ups and showers etc, so come on down and spend a few days in beautiful Suffolk.

There are tons of other things to do around here too. Thetford Forest is a short drive away and we are well situated for Newmarket races and historic Cambridge as well. There is an 18 hole golf course less than a mile away so bring your clubs, or hire a set.

Nice campsite if you like plane spotting, as it's right at the end of USAF Mildenhall runway. Probably not the site for you if you like complete peace and quiet. When we were there the was only one takeoff every couple of hours so not too noisy. Toilets etc are a bit basic, but kept clean and disinfected. Owners friendly and welcoming.

Raucous noise late into the night, and then just when you get to sleep, it all starts again again at 4AM. If you want a nice peaceful site then this place isn't for you. If, however, you're a bit if a plane geek and love a bit of jetblast at the end of the runway, then you will LOVE this place. Cracking little camp site, suitable for tents, tourers and campers. Very friendly and obviously has plenty of regulars. Right at the end of the runway at RAF Mildenhall with a viewing platform (that offers a full view of the airfield & runway), next to the approach lights, so close to the action you can almost touch the aircraft. Facilities are reasonably basic but clean and functional. Generally well looked after site with friendly and helpful hosts. Will be returning (probably very often).

My family had a brilliant time at the camp site and would certainly comeback for another stay. Owner was accommodating and helpful and the site is clean and well kept.

Home from home Lee a perfect host help in any way he can keeps the site clean if you love aviation you will love this place

It is the nicest campsite I have ever been to me and my family go near enough every year they have a good look out tower there are places to walk your dog's etc good toilets very hygienic you can go out into town there is also a nature walk there in Mildenhall i think you will be inspired alot
