Went for a meal recently with family. Very enjoyable with wide and varied menu. We all made new choices and enjoyed the food. Very flavoursome and each serving was ample and a pleasure to eat. The evening was topped off by excellent and friendly service from our waitress Carla who was great. I'd come again and recommend it.
Organised my husband’s 50th birthday at the hotel a week or so ago.nFrom the first initial meeting with Jon GM to party day and finalising details with Julie GM the process was seamless. A beautiful events room over seeing the gardens.nWe had a fantastic time and will definitely be holding more events here in the future. We had a super time and created beautiful memories. Thank you to all the staff who helped that evening and day time.nThank you for letting us bring our dance pole as well! Topped our evening off!nLovely rooms too!
So much to say about this hotel, not sure where to begin. Firstly the staff are amazing, warm and welcoming. Nothing beats being called 'Lovely' at breakfast, especially with perfectly cooked Eggs Benedict and Dolly Parton on the radio. The garden is lovely with squirrels chasing each other across the lawns. The elevator might be the smallest I've ever seen but the room and bathroom were a good size, very clean and air conditioned. The decor throughout is however dated; quaint but stubbornly 1970s. Let's just say that when I woke up in the morning I knew what Sam Tyler felt like in Life On Mars. Will definitely return for my next trip and try lunch next time also.
Went here for Sunday lunch roast and was not disappointed. Light and airy conservatory overlooking a grassed outdoor area with tables and chairs. On a lovely warm day, as per today, it was delightful. Food and service was excellent despite the fact they had two large parties of people to also look after. Will definitely return.
We stayed for a full week and couldn’t have been happier. The hotel has a charming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. Our room was perfect—comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming, and the food had a lively, enjoyable feel each day. A special thank you to Laura and Julie, whose friendliness and genuine hospitality truly made our stay memorable. We’ll definitely be back.
