The food here is marvellous. Every dish is cooked to perfection, and the presentation is superb. Service is fast and friendly. Pets are welcome. There is a great selection of drinks, but the local ales are just wonderful. We were lucky to get live music from The Sheriff - a fantastic local band that ought to win British Got Talent soon! We are fans now! Can't recommend enough. This is a must if you are nearby.
We’ve just spent 3 nights at The Wookey Hole Hotel. It’s a very old and quirky place, that is a couple of hundred yards from Wookey Hole Caves. Our room was large with an en-suite shower and toilet. The water was hot and plentiful. The food in the restaurant was tasty, plentiful and really reasonably priced. The staff are attentive, polite and friendly. We were able to play our own card games down in the bar - and Richard the boss even came and joined us one night! Richard also cooked us a very tasty breakfast when we wanted one. All in all, we had a great break. Many thanks to Richard and his team .
Stayed a couple of nights. Lovely downstairs. Nice beer garden. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Our room was very spacious with an amazing custom carved bathroom door and antique old style bath and sink. There wasn't a shower though and the bed was a little too firm for our tastes. The TV was also non smart and digital channels kept getting periodic interference and drop outs, especially during rain. Overall, the place was quaint and the staff were great.
Stopped in for a quick lunch before visiting Wookey Hole just across the street. Very friendly service, and they were especially attentive about my allergies. Food was excellent - we had a chicken burger and gnocchi which were both delicious.Service: 5/5
The staff were great; we were a big group that arrived near the end of lunch service, but they accommodated us and didn't make us feel uncomfortable. As it was Hallowe'en, all the children in our group were given a little treat! So kind. Also, the food was delicious, clearly homemade with care.Service: 5/5
We stopped here for lunch while on a walk and both had the pie, which was delicious! The staff were friendly and nice selection of drinks. Would definitely visit again.Service: 5/5
Friendly staff, great service and excellent food. The best steak and chips I’ve had for a long time!! Highly recommended!!
We stayed nearby and wish we had found this place earlier on our stay. The food was outstanding not your typical pub grub, this was proper food. We ate there 2 nights on the trot, wish we had down all 4 nights we were away. The staff were friendly and I think the prices were reasonable for the food we had. We didn’t leave hungry. If your in the area of staying at the Wookey hole resort, pop into here for your dinner. You won’t be disappointed!
We came in today with a large table and small children. Staff were amazing, super helpful and the pub was very friendly and welcoming do Recommend
Stayed in a local hotel, this was the nearest pub. Service was polite and friendly. Couldn't say I was overstruck on the chips. Steak was tasty, not great, a bit tough but I didn't complain. Spacious bar and garden, clean and bright.Service: 4/5
