We stayed in a cottage a couple of doors down, so used this pub during our stay. I have to say it was a really nice place. Friendly staff who all work very hard. And the Guinness was absolutely beautiful. We also had a Sunday roast which was the best roast I’ve ever had.
Only popped in for a quick drink, and a lovely hidden treasure. Definitely a pub that cares you can tell that from the great tasting ale, can't wait to try the food .
Food was absolutely lovely except the chips were undercooked but looked like it was just ours as the other tables looked ok. Staff were very friendly chef came out to check everything was ok Only downside is there is very little parking

Was looking forward to eating after seeing the menu but a little disappointed. Service was a bit poor, ordered wine that didn't arrive till after we'd finished our main courses. Steak was overdone for what I asked for and yet not seared. Dauphinoise was huge and yummy at least.
Great little find when on our travels. Looks tiny from the front but really is a tardis once inside. Very welcoming staff, wish we could have stayed longer. Flowers outside were amazing.
Just had a lovely takeaway meal from these guys, food was cooked perfectly.. the sirloin steak meal I would highly recommend.. The customer service was first class, the owner didn’t let us pay for mine & my sons drink as he couldn’t here me very well when ordering & get bad. My son wanted a magazine, the money raised purchasing going to charity, I offered some money but he paid it himself, bless him. Also they made sure we had everything we needed & more & were externally welcoming & friendly
Izzy thank you so much…. Turned up at 2pm and although open till 11pm, had stopped serving food. Izzy and Chef were really kind, although I do think Princess Bella our Cockapoo helped us get food ;- So glad we did get food, and Chef didn’t disappoint, been driving past quite a few times, on days out and said we needed to try out. Me - Mackerel freshly caught by the landlord, with local new potatoes buttered and salad OMG I can still taste it superb! Wife - Local mussels, so fresh and tasty cooked in garlic and white wine… yes I did take a few ;- Don’t drive by drive in. Thx Izzy and chef x
