I really enjoyed this place great service great venue great food and great prices. Are food was quick to arrive and to a good standard and the member of staff going around after bringing the mlfood out and checking if everything was ok wich I like when I visit places for a meal. I like that there are lots of smaller areas that you can sit without being right in the middle. There is outdoor seating out the front and the back. I really like the concrete tubes that have been made into sheltered seating with lamps and heaters. I hope to return to this place again soon.
Visited this wetherspoons today . The food was very good all lovely and hot and tasty . Absolutely no complaints. Vegetable burger and tikka massala both lovely.
Been around the country and used many spoons in my time and am now proud to call this my local since moving back in 2017. Got to know the staff and am always well looked after. Only a couple of times in five years have I had to send food back but always resolved promptly. Funny how all the people complaining here can't spell properly. ...just an observation. Locals are friendly too... 10/10 well done all at this spoons.
About the only thing going for it is the price. Service was painfully slow. One person serving tables, one clearing and two behind the bar on a busy Saturday lunch time. There wasn't a clean table in the place. Food took over half an hour to arrive and the chips were soggy and the beans were dry from having sat under the lights for so long. You would honestly do better driving all the way to McDonald's in Street than bothering with a burger here.
Uncleared tables and when they are they're not cleaned. The two breakfasts we ordered were verging on cold and it was quite evident a lack of passion by whoever was cooking. Price of a pint is still good and that's the only thing that will keep attracting me. I think I will go elsewhere for food though.
Visiting the area, so was our 1st visit to this venue. Food and service good. Couldn't help noticing a particular staff member whose name I now know to be Wesley. He worked hard all evening and was very pleasant. Wesley showed great work ethic and wished there were more like him. Look after him, Tim Martin, owner of Wetherspoons.
Nice large friendly pub/restaurant sadly the food let it down big time. Not only was the food overcooked it was of a mediocre temperature. The staff were polite and friendly. Maybe my expectations are too high
Apathetic management & some staff. Standard items missing or only miniscule portions from ordered meals. Steaks served either bloody red or dark grey, nothing in between it seems! Lots of "up and coming" ales advertised but hardly ever available - had even run out of Doombar the other day which I will only drink if nothing else is available. Most food not hot. It used to be quite acceptable?
Best fish and chips in the history of the world and a great choice of ciders. Young man who took order was super friendly and helpful. Too far from for us to visit regularly sadly.
First time visiting area. Lovely clean pub. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They ran out of a few things from menu,but was able to chose something else. Meals were quick to arrive and plenty of it. Will visit again
