I have eaten at the Camelot Inn, five or six times since December '14. One time being about twenty of my family members on Christmas day 2014. Which everyone seemed to really enjoy, and then another three times this February to celebrate birthdays. We sat out in the large conservatory, looking out on to the garden and fields. My mum loves that you can have smaller portions of the roast, as she can't eat a very large meal now. We all felt that it was great value for money. Kind and friendly staff. Great Manager. All very helpful. We hope to be eating there again very soon, when they have completed their refurbishments & re open. Keep up the good work. :
Any review below is null and void, I had eaten at the Camelot Inn Its previous name and the place was run down, lacking customer service skills and the food was absolutely dire. The Three Wells was born! The Camelot was stripped out bare and had a complete overhaul of the dining areas, bar and garden. The place looks and feels so comfortable. The staff are all friendly, helpful and will go out of their way just to go that extra mile. Something I feel is important. We have now eaten there 4 times since it has reopened 5 weeks ago - late March and haven't been disappointed once. I used to be a cook, and I love my food so I can be a fussy person! However, I can't be fussy here, its impossible because its exactly what it should be. Exceptional value and tasty. If you have visited The Camelot before, and posted a review here... I urge you all to try it out, and repost your reviews. Nope I don't work for these people and I don't know them, I am an honest business owner myself and these guys really do need the recognition they deserve for turning this place around into such a friendly family restaurant. Well Done!
been going here for years and its always been good. The menu caters really well for vegetarians with usually 7 or 8 things at least to choose from. The only thing that could be done better is the decor of the place. In the conservatory it is lovely but in the other main bit it looks quite tired now.
Do not eat here, even if you're desperate. The place and the food is disgusting. Inedible. The drinks taste off. Eating here will make you angry and feel sad for the animals that died only to be served from a dried-out microwave tin can carvery.
Nice garden with fields surrounding. Service was friendly enough, place is dated and a little lacking in charm but the food was just awful. Very unusual for us, but we actually complained when we settled the bill, or rather let them know we were dissatisfied. Most of the meals brought out there were 5 of us eating were just utterly bland, my one was really quite disgusting: a 'giant yorkshire pudding' that had been microwaved, and microwaved for far too long so bits of it were inedible and a 'Cornish Brie sauce' with bland, whiter than white bland chicken. Most of us left more than half the food on the plate. Yuck! It's a shame the owners let food like this leave the kitchen. Its not particularly cheap too, but they obviously cut every corner possible in sourcing the food - will not be eating there again and that is for sure!
The best Sunday carvery in the area, well worth a visit. Set in a lovely area of the Somerset levels with plenty of setting room inside and out and plenty of parking. Great friendly staff and great food, good value for money.
A good pub gone down hill with new ownership. Staff leave bar unattended so poor service. Nice garden and pub feel gives it a 1 star from me. Chips are dry steaks aren't cooked to the right degree. Staff are poorly trained.
Once you get past the permanent and inviting "Two for one" offers and accept that its more like a 'meal for fiver', the Camelot Inn is good value for what it is. It's clean, punctual and staff are friendly. The fourth star goes to the nice garden space with modest play area and rabbits; a nice touch for those with family.
We come every Sunday. Best and closest carvery near us just a shame they don't do it every night like they use to we would defo be In here more. Lovely staff and a nice environment to be in !
Sunday carvery food and service fantastic. The table though was by the till and where people que. so the lunch was spoilt by this. Please move this table is doesn't work being constantly bumped into by people in the que.
