A bit of delay for drinks and staff attention but forgiven as the food over shadowed that. Well and truly fab food beautiful selection of veg other than peas and carrots, meat melt in the mouth and the salad was more of a picnic for two. Again lovely meal no reason not to go back
The chef does a wonderful job, his food tastes delicious and the portions are so generous. Couldn't fault any of the food we had, tasted amazing and the chef even asked us personally after his shift if we enjoyed his dishes. You can tell from his food that he is passionate about what he does and it truly pays off. If ever in or passing the area we will certainly go out of our way to visit again!
Stopped for lunch at this traditional rural pub and would recommend a visit to anyone with a healthy appretite. My 8oz rump steak was cooked to perfection, blue just the way I like it. The chips were obviously hand-cut and perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside. As for my husband's steak and Guinness pie, that was full with chunks of meat and comes with a choice of mashed or new potatoes and vegetables. The staff were friendly and polite making certain everything was to our liking and making us feel completely at home throughout our visit. 29/1/22
The chunky yet succulent slices in this steak and stilton ciabatta were tender and delicious, served alongside perfectly cooked thick cut chips and fantastic creamy coleslaw. Massive portion at very reasonable prices. Good selection of local ales to pair with, I went with the ‘rare breed’ from Butcombe brewery. The service was very pleasant and we were served in good time. Overall a very pleasant experience that I would highly recommend to anyone!

Best Sunday lunch we have had In years all the food was super tasty and very generous portions, fantastic service in a wonderfully quaint country pub.
Great little pub with an amazing Sunday lunch with big portions. Easy to find but be careful with parking. It doesn't have a carpark and if it's busy you will struggle to find anywhere to park. There is a residential street up the road that has public parking.
Excellent village pub. Great atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly staff. Gets very busy, so make sure to book for lunch or dinner, and well worth a visit. Food was excellent. Thursday is steak night, free sauce and drink with your steak. Cooked perfectly as requested. Locally brewed beer very good too, Witch Way Home.
Lovely village pub that serves great food. The staff were lovely and we were served really quickly. We stopped for a work lunch and my colleagues had to get doggy bags as they couldn't eat it all! Well worth a visit.
Wonderful pub, the locals have welcomed us, the food is just fantastic, excellent home cooked food and very tasty. At short notice hosted a party of 11 the staff are so friendly and helpful. Great place to go.
