What a quirky little pub in a beautiful setting. The hotel recommended this place and we were so happy that we went. The creative menu is super delicious. We opted for the asparagus and fish stew starters and the butternut squash, sweet potato, rice, and bean vegetarian main. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The array of 'stuff' displayed around the pub brought a smile to my face with everything from transformers to a yogi bear to sesame street characters to unusual artwork - it was worth taking a wander around and you probably have to see it to understand it. If we were ever in the area again we would revisit it. Hopefully, it would be a nice day and we could then experience sitting outside in the decking area. Highly recommended!
Lovely location, gorgeous food and wonderful staff! From the outside you'd never know what a lovely hidden gem this place is. All of the staff were so lovely! They even let us sit for 3 hours after our meal to catch up with our friends; we weren't hurried out the door like you get with some places. All of the food was absolutely delicious, would definitely recommend the truffle and Parmesan fries. Can't wait to return in the summer time!
We love coming and eating at the Sheppey. The food is excellent and a range of exciting vegetarian/ vegan dishes and not the usual token 1 . The drinks list is varied and supports local breweries. The staff are super friendly and efficient - even during the busiest times. Thank you , it is always a treat to visit and a delight to step through the door and find twinkling lights and sometimes live music.
Second time we've been and weren't disappointed at all. Some of the very best food around and great, friendly service. Our new favourite place to eat. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back soon. ThanksService: 5/5
A group of 9 of us had our Christmas meal at The Sheppey and the food was absolutely to die for! All beautifully cooked, not a frozen roast potato in sight, and amazing gravy too - hats off to the chef Tom. All of the staff were lovely and really helpful, Ben was kind enough to clear some tables for us to dance, and the bar staff were great too especially Kev and a younger girl I didn't get the name of - thank you all for looking after us and making our night so much fun! Will definitely be coming back and recommend visiting The Sheppey for excellent food and service. Dietary restrictions: One of our ladies is Coeliac and the staff were very helpful and accommodating with this making sure everything was suitable for her.
Popped in on the off chance today and luckily, there was space for my husband and I to have lunch. This was our 4th visit and, every bit as amazing as our first. Not only is the setting fabulous, the food is divine and the staff are wonderful. If you're in the area, this is the go to place for an amazing experience. Dietary restrictions: The waiting staff enquire after your dietary requirements as you order.
Faultless, friendly place. Food good value taking into account how much love is put into it, generous selection of veg on plate with main, all perfectly cooked. Beer is very varied and top notch too. Hope to visit again soon.Food: 5/5
A truly amazing place tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. Hand cut chips with skins are divine. All the ciders and beers are not heard of. The Sheppey Cider is highly recommended. Everything is funky as hell in there too.
The Sheppey really pushed the boat out with us. I am so grateful. 17 of us loving the food & drink. Efficiently served too. Wasn't sure what to expect re the music. We loved it. Went down a storm. AND at the end of the night the man at the till had the patience of Jobe with me faffing around for ages getting the payment together. I am eternally grateful Paul
