As a family of four, we really enjoyed our trip to Wollaton Hall. There was plenty of exhibits and some amazing views. After you've been around the the hall there is a nice little playground for the children to run off that excess energy. Parking is only five pound and ample and unless you're buying things while there, everything else is free. A great little day out with some great scenery and open spaces.
Just beautiful! Spent 5h ridding and exploring, seen the museum. It’s just a beautiful place to visit. Parking £5.60 all dayVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
What a pleasant surprise! We visited for the first time and the Hall, museum and grounds are magnificent. I can’t wait to visit again in the summer and spend some time in the gardens. Looking forward to more eateries being open in the summer and not just the mobile cafe. The mobile cafe offered a good selection of drinks and light bites. When we visited we were lucky to see Willard Wigan’s work, micro miniature sculptures in a needles eye. Amazing! The photographs don’t do it justice. Gem of a place, thank you Nottingham City Council.
Lovely house, a museum with plenty to interest most people. History of the building, lace from the county. History of animals and an amazing minimization section. Stand in a beautiful deer park for walking.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Free entry to building, car park costs £5 , lots of parking available, extensive grounds, Natural History Museum in the house and Nottingham Industrial Museum in the stable blocks along side cafe and some retail shops. Deer visible in park.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Lovely and large free private park and gardens. Can also enter both the main house and industry museum for free. The climbing tree which is just infront of the main house is a highlight too for people who are adventurous and not afraid of heights. The main house is a lovely building. Lots and lots and taxidermy, so if that freaks you out a bit like for me then maybe just go in quickly to see the house. The toilets are downstairs - you can reach them via a lift in the shop. Unfortunately we didnt make it to the museum as it was closed. There are 3 shops/cafes next to it if you wish to buy lunch etc. also a coffee cart by the lake. Be aware of the deer and the geese - keep youre distance :
Amazing place to enjoy with family and have fun. Very well managed, beautiful specially in the nice weather and clean. The staff is really helpful. The only negative is the cost and availability of the parking but overall highly recommended.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Hidden gem we arrived around 11am on Sunday morning ,paid £5 for parking all day ,you can choose one of a few parkings. We chose one near the Hall but next time we might park next playground and take a long stroll to the Hall. The entrance is free , on the day we visited very busy but people smiling and polite. Generally a wonderful visit! Inside sooo much to see, excellent collection of well-done taxidermy, real animals that have been mounted after death, treated to preserve them and posed to appear lifelike. And animals bones or part of skeletons. Not for everyone ,understandable. Outside picnic benches available and a lot of walk, we found a lake with geese, you can go around or can walk back to the Hall which we did ,be aware ! Muddy ground ,bring your wellies we had some heavy rain last week And if you decide to bring dogs,keep them on leash, we saw deers calmly relaxing on the sun I recommend to bring picnic food on summer as both cafes were really busy. Toilets available on the premises. Around the Hall is a nice path , we saw many families with prams and many children on bikes and scooters. We will be back once the summer comes ;
Great place for a day out with the kids. They really enjoyed looking at the birds and animals in the museum, and the miniature art and sculptures they had on show were amazing. It has a great play area and lots of deers in the parkland to see as you walk around. There is a lake to walk around and where you can feed the ducks. We were there for around 5 hours.
Mind relaxing Park to visit on weekends if you are looking to socialise or willing to spend some peaceful time alone. Great place for kids to enjoy as well as for pet owners. One can also witness herd of deers running around the park area. Many social events are also held at he back park of the hall area.Visited onWeekendWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedYes
