Lovely staff, helpful and informative. Not a big attraction but for the entrance price well worth a visit. Childrens craft activities included. We spent about an hour at the museum but could be done in half an hour or even longer if the children did all of the activities. Park is nearby which is free.

This is local to me so I visit a lot. Interesting museum within the furnace building itself. Canal barge rides available. Lovely walks along the canal and into local nature reserves/woodland. Also on site are a small cafe and a selection of craft workshops. Some great events held here including the Moira Canal Festival each May. Disabled parking is close to the workshops. More extensive parking for busy days is close to the main entrance requiring a few mins, short, flat walk to get to the furnace. At this car park there is also a good children's play ground and a small woodland to explore. An unusual and interesting industrial history site.

This is a must see the walks and museum is excellent part of our heritage with imaginative story being well told It a a shame that it's not actively promoted

Interesting place. Boat rides and museum tours. Lovely walks. Cafe close by.

Nice scenery, there is an art shop, cafe and lovely plants for sale. Lovely to walk the dod.
