Lovely small social history museum staffed by enthusiastic volunteers. Upstairs recently re-furbished and looks good. Children's activities, Victorian dressing up clothes, even a horse in the lock keeper's stable. Excellent home made cakes and tea. Well worth a visit.
Lovely place to visit. Lock keeper's cottage has been beautifully restored to show it as it would have been in the 19th century. Extremely interesting, with a knowledgeable volunteer to welcome us and answer our questions.
Beautiful walk along here? I didn’t realise but this building is apparently a cafe there was a sign outside you can walk or ride for miles. We cycled from Stapleford to Trent Lock.
Great place, very welcoming and dog friendly too! Nice cake!
Lovely local walk for me and my dog, we visit the cottage when it's open too. The Cottage is worth a visit when it's open, very interesting.
Really enjoyed our visit and tour of the museum. Great folk band playing. We enjoyed our cake and coffee.
