Great little museum, which still has working framework knitting machines. Has some lovely history about the place and is fascinating for those who love to learn about local history or just enjoy yarn crafts. The volunteers are lovely and helpful. They have a cosy little tea room as well as a Chapel where they have regular events. Go check it out. I much prefer it to the more 'touristy' attractions in Nottingham. If travelling from the City Centre, the number 3 or 10 by Nottingham City Transport stops practically on their doorstep. For a family of 2 adults and up to 3 children, it will cost less than £20 for bus travel and entrance to the museum. Bargain!

An excellent little place with fantastic volunteers. Well worth the entry fee.

I was with the Gnosall Phoenix group on 1st of November. We all enjoyed our visit, where we were conducted around this fascinating museum by a very pleasant and knowledgeable group of guides. We have visited many similar types of museums, but the general consensus was that this was the best for information and certainly for the enthusiasm of the staff.
