I stopped by with my child for a browse, sit down, lounge and read and enjoyed the visit. Loved the up to date layout of books out front, the massage chair and health and wellbeing section, the decorations and fittings at the children’s corner. It’s important to book for any events happening as this guarantees entry and the website is up to date with latest events and happenings with contact information if needed. All in all a good day out.
Oh my days! How I wish I lived nearer. When I visited, the library was being well used and had a noticeboard full of interesting upcoming events. They even have a wellbeing corner complete with massage chair! I wish all libraries were like this. The building itself, a lovely red-brick build is beautiful inside and out. Be sure to check the side of the building for the bookshelves artwork.
Great library with knowledgeable and attentive staff. Queries always answered thoroughly and with a smile. They always go the extra mile with any interaction I've had. Only downside is the staff having to wear black all year through. You'd think a librarian would be dressed quirky and fun :
- A nice place - staff are helpful. - for children an interesting space - the system accepts a membership Merton -it is important that there is a cafe not expensive and tasty but here is noisy…
There are problems at this library. Having booked a book on 14 May, there was no record of the booking on 3 June and I had to start again. On that same day I renewed for the first time another book due on 4 June and on 12 June received an email, not only stating that it was due back on 4th, also that I was fined and that I had renewed it 10 times! Their IT is clearly faulty, so be careful, keep all your borrowing, renewing and returning receipts & preferably use the personal rather than the automatic services.
A literary oasis in the heart of Wimbledon. Thank you to all the workers. Kids love your storytelling sessions. Keep up the tai-chi classes and activities for the elderly.
Helpful attendants, great event space, and on-site cafe, noticed an engaging kids’ space and tech hub as well.
This Library is our one of the favorite place in Wimbledon. All workers are really kids friendly, because sometimes little kids can be noisy in library and never say anything.has a good kids area and kids books. Especially we was visiting there in rainy days
ABSALOUTELY rude, horrible, unhelpful, and unfriendly staff. Will be contacting the manager. OJ or whatever his name is, AWFUL. Should be ashamed. No help or understanding at all. Ruined our day. Disgusting.
With in Wimbledon library is a small four tabled , twelve seat cafe called Gasto Fino run by very friendly staff selling all types of goodies on the Italian farm theme., A little gem away from the madding crowd, Be prepared to share a table
