confused by reviews below saying you can only use study space for one hour, it's two hours and you can stay longer unless someone is waiting. It's the PCs that are for one hour and if you want a second hour you can pay £1, there are 3 desks with plugs. You can sit anywhere else in the library using battery. Nice place but I understand they're very short of regular staff and have to get cover from other branches so some staff are not as in the know as others.
Absolutely insane. Went in to do some work on the laptop and within 5 mins a chap came in and sat next to me coughing and talking. I got up moved into main part of library and was loud because something on for kids-which is fair enough but then a woman from the study area had just been in came through shouting on her phone. Only option was to leave.
The library space is nice but they have a nonsensical rule whereby you can only use the working desks for 1 hour at a time. After one hour, the guard came and sent me away even though noone else was there. I wanted to move to one of the tables with computers but wasn't allowed to use my own laptop at this table. These rules might make sense when there is high demand, but there was literally noone there apart from me. Very frustrating.
I am a children's book author and was doing research on book covers. I sat at the totally deserted children's section and I was told to move because the area was reserved for children. Shall I repeat there was absolutely no one there? i.e. I was not taking anyone's seat or bothering anyone. Another time, the attendant was not around and no one to ask for help. I tried to print out but made the mistake to use the wrong computer. When the attendant finally returned, she seemed to take pleasure in shouting at me in front of everyone. Ridiculous use of power, I think.
In most respects, it's fine; however, if you're planning to work from your own laptop, you can forget it, as I counted a total of four power sockets. Two of them are at a computer work station, which you have to book in advance for a non extendable one hour slot, and the other two are nowhere near a seat or table.

Really mice quiet place, perfect for studying. Love it here. Looks small, but has a fair amount of space and books, however only one toilet which could be improved.
It’s lovely library for children. Lots of books and welcoming staffs. Love this library

Love this Library. Fantastic place to read and research. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
