I came here to print some papers for the visa, staff were very helpful and friendly. The library staff, can give you a computer access for 15minutes and then you can print whatever you want. One paper black and white was for 10p and I was able to pay 10p with my credit card. Just fabulous.
What a big up grade from the old library. I went to the library for the first time, and I was super impressed. I love the way they had pictures, and stories about the windrush adding some culture to the building. It was lovely seeing a few faces I know, on display that made it even more exciting to see.
Terrible experience today in the children section of the new library behind the old library building. I went there with a child and we were reading books for an hour quietly in a corner. We don’t usually borrow books but rather read them in the library we go there fairly often. As we were leaving the lady working there rudely told us and other parents/carers with children that we shouldn’t come to the library unless we actually borrow books, that it is not a softplay and if we don’t actually take books home there is no point for us coming to the library at all. She was incredibly hostile and I was shocked and appalled by this treatment. I don’t feel comfortable going there anymore.
The library’s well equipped and well planned out in terms of seating however, my favourite feature is the option to book out a room from the various sizes! Ps the staff are literally so helpful and kind.
The new building is nicer. More modern. I've been meaning to use the library more and it was the first time I've borrowed a book in years. My card had expired but it was so simple to re register. I had proof of ID. Thanks to Carol.
Very dissapointed with the new library. The spaces feel cheap. There is also a complete lack of thought to who actually wants to use the library for study. There isn't really a study area, there are a few seats dotted around but with few power points. Just a table dumped in the middle of an open plan floor. It's really poor.
library is good but there’s not a lot of space for group study. The boxes are always packed and there’s not a lot of them. There is far too many meeting rooms, can’t you give the space to students who really need it? Some students have to talk and if they don’t have a room, it will cause disruption.
Wandsworth town library recently moved to a new location close by to the previous one and it’s great. Everything looks fresh tidy and great new additions. It was really needed. He’s great to visit the library for baby rain time and they also have a massive selection of books IT area study space some meeting rooms and also some memorabilia Recommended the visit
We love this library and have been using it for many years. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Good selection of books for children especially. My children have enjoyed the audiobook selection as well. A special mention for Lilly, in the children's library who is especially lovely.
Unfortunately there is no barrier between the kids play area and the working area, this means it is difficult to work as there is often a lot of noise.
