Lovely well maintained park with football pitch managed by better gym, children's play area, dog friendly, ping pong table, concrete chess table, picnic benches and toliet facilities. Dog-friendliness: Loads of dogs on leads Picnic area: Small with benches
A nice little park amongst a lively residential area with multiple entrances. Sectioned into areas of open green space, fitness equipment, children’s playground etc so suitable for all uses. Lots of trees provide shade for a little picnic.
Just past Highgate cemetery you’ll find Whittington park. There’s a lovely floral sculpture of Dick Whittington's cat, made from a wire frame covered with sempervivum.
Good for exercise with lot of facilities with Football pitch, Table tennis table, skateboard park and playground. But not big enough to have an awesome picnic though. Nice people in the park so you can relax just sitting and watching as well.
One of North London's hidden gems. Clean, well kept and safe. Perfect for a Sunday picnic and there is a dedicated area to BBQ.
Small however nice and clean during the week days when it's not packed. Lots of adorable doggies enjoying their walks while playing and socialising. Great local park.
Sweet little park with a play area, outdoor gym, sports pitches and a small skate park. Its usually quite busy so I wouldn't say it's a great spot for a quiet picnic, but it's a good place to take the kids for some exercise. There's a small wildlife pond too but it seems to be coated in oil and devoid of any wildlife plants or animals so it needs a bit of TLC.
This is such a well kept park with one of the biggest kids play areas I’ve visited. They have the coolest outdoor water area - this sprinkles down so it’s more for running through than a wading pool. There are a few teeter totters and slides, regular swings, baby swings, sand pits. They also have an in closed football pitch and a skate park. I saw a cafe but it wasn’t open - I’m assuming it’s closed down as the building looks under constructions. Dogs are allowed but not in the childrens playground or football pitch.
A complex park with great play equipment fir children and even a toilet including baby change ! When not locked !! Grrr
This is an amazing park for so many reasons. 1. It's a couple of minutes' walk from Upper Holloway, making it so convenient if you're getting a train soon. 2. The playground is great, with so many great things to play on, but also just a nice place to sit and eat lunch, as it has great shade but also places to sit in the sun. 3. It has a fantastic outdoor gym, which loads of machines, which can save you money going to an indoor gym and it's so fun to play on the machines too. 4. It also has a skatepark, which is a great place to practise on your skateboard, and it may be fun if you have a small scooter, but I strongly don't recommend it for bikes!! 5. It also has 2 good sized fields for dogs to run around in, making it a great place for dogs to be as it has separate places for kids and dogs, which I think was a very good decision, as many people might not want to have their kids running around with dogs, and some dog owners might want some separate space for their dog to just be. My only complaint about this park is it's lack of good toilet infrastructure. There's one toilet in the building, but it has a faulty light. I think the council should put in some proper public toilets. Overall, this park has something for everyone. Whether you just wanna get some exercise, or you want a nice spot to have lunch, or you want to walk your dog or run around, this park has it. Still 5 stars.
