Camley Street Natural Park, managed by the London Wildlife Trust, is a peaceful haven by Regent's Canal. This former coal yard is now a lush green space with ponds, meadows, and wetlands. It’s a wonderful spot to experience urban wildlife up close.
Tiny natural space tucked away behind King's Cross and St Pancras, run by London Wildlife Trust. You might not see anything rare but it has coots, moorhens and small garden birds in the tree cover. There is a cafe with a good selection of cakes and some lunch options, including vegan choices. Well worth a visit.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A little gem just 5 min from St Pancras . It's very peaceful and calm with a lot of different flora. The singing of the birds makes it very special . You forget while you are walking there that you are so close to the busyness of the town. We went there before heading to the busier parts and it was very grounding and charging . It wasn't crowded when we went which was even more lovely because it felt like we had that little piece of heaven just for us . Definitely worth the visit .
This is a tiny but wonderful little nature reserve, in just about the most unexpected place, right next to St Pancras station. Well worth a 10 minute visit, as is a walk around the surrounding canal areas. There is a cafe and toilets.
What an oasis hidden in one of the most crowded part of the city. Great fun watching the coot family feed and play around. The two little bobs are adorable! Visited onWeekendWait timeNo wait
Nearly 40yrs ago I helped plant up this site. So it was really wonderful to come back to see how it has flourished and continues to flourish with the help of many volunteers and the lovely wildlife warden who has the best job in this quiet area of the otherwise bustling hub of London on the canal side. Highly recommend. In close proximity to Euston, Kings Cross, St Pancras and Camden stations
Great to have this natural park only 5 minutes walking distance away from the bustling and extremely busy St Pancras train station. Visiting here today with my toddler son. He really enjoyed it. Highly recommended. You definitely should visit here next time you are in the area. There is also a cafe at this natural park.
This is an oasis in the middle of a busy area of London. Gorgeous trees and so much lovely birdsong! Right near St Pancras and Kings Cross stations. And it’s free entry!
Took my 3 year old son for the free pond dipping session that’s on each day from 1-3pm over the summer holidays. Had a great time. Jane who was leading the sessions was brilliant. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and showed us some toads and interesting bugs and gave my son lots of time. She was so great my son kept wanting to go and see her to tell her things that we had found when we walked around by ourselves. Amazing this place is so near to Kings Cross station. Great sandwich from the cafe too!
This mini nature reserve is totally unexpected near several stations St Pancras, King Cross, Euston, and the Regent Canal. It’s a visit full of beautiful surprises and a place of tranquility. Don't tell anyone about it.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
