Purchased a lovely Mini convertible from Whinbush. 5 stars just isn't enough! I had an awful time finding a mini in my price range and got stung by a few sellers however these guys are truly genuine people. Gary knew about every single mini on that forecourt and there were about 20! No pressure selling and was honest about my choices. Serviced, MOTed and valeted prior to my collection. After driving a few days i noticed the Air con was not cold, i phoned up, told to bring back at my convenience and they re gassed the air con there and then. No quibbles. took 5 mins! When i bought a mini from a BMW dealer i had to book it in all day just for a re gas! Whinbush will now have my custom for as long as it keeps going! Thank you again guys!Service: Air conditioning
I've used this garage a couple of times in the past now. So I only thought it fair to drop a review. I have used other garages and not knowing a car from a van, I have to trust what the mechanic tells me like so many. Other garages have told me 'extra discoveries have been found.' In the past and I just took there word. These guys however sent me pictures and explained what had been found so I felt right in trusting them. I must say as well it felt like a new car. I only will use this garage now and have often recommended friends now I recommend everyone.
I recently bought a car from Whinbush Garage and was very impressed, the initial contact was very good. The salesman Michael allowed us the space to really look at the car we wanted for our Sons first car. Once we decided to buy the car he was very efficient & helpful. After we picked it up the car suffered a problem and on contacting the garage it was rectified. We had looked at many cars and this garage ticked every box, no hard sell, great customer service and a great experience for our sons first purchase.
Whinbush Garage I was compelled to write a fair review of Whinbush Garage after reading a number of very warped and unfair reviews on here which paints a bad picture of this amazing garage. Technology is amazing but has also given a platform for people to write misleading and downright false reviews which can obviously negatively effect a business. It’s essentially holding companies to ransom if they don’t get their own way and basically modern blackmail - “If you don’t give me what I want, I’m gonna write a nasty review etc...” These guys are true Mini enthusiasts, specialists and fanboys. He usually has a few on the forecourt to sell which have been looked for them by previous owners and always fair priced. For the review who said their car wasn’t cleaned properly - you’re talking about the Car Wash next door, not the mini garage!! Jesus Wept!? Someone also complained that one of the cars has significant mould... it did..! it was a recent barn find, having been abandoned and was just parked up in the forecourt awaiting inspection and cleaning, I think the fella just turned up in the middle of the night to have a look and assumed the worst! So let’s be clear, Whinbush Garage isn’t a hotel, bowling alley or butchers.. it’s a car garage! Gary and his brother have always been fair and honest. He’s been in business for over 25 years if I remember correctly and you couldn’t get away with being a ‘Del Boy’ or Arthur Daley I’m showing my age here! if they were con artists or less then reliable. A car is probably going to be your second most important and expensive purchase following your property but it is a mechanical vehicle and nothing is perfect especially second hand cars. All the vehicles I have purchased from Whinbush have been safe, reliable and keenly priced. My advice is do your research on the car you want, be reasonable and visit the garage with an open mind, you’ll be treated well. Tell them Big Tony sent you he won’t know who you’re talking about but it’ll be funny!
You won't find a better Mini dealer anywhere else without going to BMW! Great service at a good price, honest car sellers and the after care is brilliant.
stay away. These guys are butchers, not car mechanics. I spent more than 1,500 pounds with them on a 45k miles car and they destroyed it. They are clumsy. Whatever they touch they break. My car had to be towed 2 times back to them to be fixed as they could not get it right first time. After leaving them, I have had to spend $$$ on more damages that they inflicted on a previously perfect car. Disaster They also pulled the classic trick at the till "your quote was 1,000 but a few bits more plus VAT bring it to 1,500"
In March I was sold a cheap trade-in RX8, took it to my local mechanic and discovered it required an engine rebuild. Whinbush obviously failed to mention this at the time - so I asked for a full refund and took the car back. They explained that once it was resold the same dodgy way it was sold to me of course I could then have my money back. Waited for weeks with no news, several emails were exchanged with a different excuse each time, until I demanded a full refund by a certain date which they agreed to refund via EFT transfer. The date came and went - no surprises there. After several unanswered calls, I received an email in June saying the money was waiting for me at their garage, and they could not transfer it due to their history with FRAUD. Ironic to say the least. Anyway, a cheque was eventually sent to me in the post. This was supposed to be the money for my first car after moving here from Australia. I had limited savings until I found a job, and this experience left me in a hard place for months. Thanks Whinbush for living up to the classic 'mechanic' stereotype - taking advantage of a young woman. Would. Not. Recommend.
Went to this garage last week after seeing a Mini Cooper s in autotrader for £3k. It was raining so didn’t expect to find anyone on the forecourt. So I decided to check the car out myself. What I found when I looked through the window of the car was horrendous! Mold everywhere on the seats on the gear stick pretty much all over it! Really shocked by the state of it. So glad I didn’t phone ahead. I would avoid this place like the plague if I were you. God knows what other problems it would have had!?
Have bought a MINI and had several of my cars serviced and MOT'd by Gary and the team at Winbush Garage. he has also checked over my daughters car to ensure it was safe even though we bought it from another dealer. couldn't recommend a better garage
