Initial experience
good initial experience...on par with anywhere else. They went out their way to sell me the vehicle...even came and collected me to pick up my vehicle. Very good service. 

The car 
They sold me a reasonably priced Skoda Octavia. It developed a electrical fault within the first 10 days or so. The yellow upside down bulb light came on. I have had two bulbs changed since...one at my expense. I believe they may have sold me a vehicle with a electrical circuit fault...the same light remains lit on the dashboard till even now...all bulbs are working but the dashboard light stays on. 

After sale
My understanding at the time of purchase (following a straight forward discussion with the sales exec Graham) was that the next service would be free due to an existing pre-paid service plan on the vehicle. Normally  plans can change ownership but the plan can't be taken onto another vehicle.

Time service due 

The service was now due...what I have experienced has has been very poor...in fact...disgraceful 
To avoid providing a £279 service...they have 
1) Ignored my calls. When I did manage to get hold of the sales executive Graham...he didn't call back as he said he would...but he says he has "integrity".
2) Not done what they said they would do (I am still waiting to be sent the terms and conditions on their service plans).
3) Provided contradicting information (they said ownership can't be changed on service plans...they do have plans where you can do that)
4) They even denied it had a service plan on it at one point. 
3) Finally, the sales executive Graham has proceeded to threatened me on the phone...when I have challenged him on what he told me about the next service on the vehicle. Apparently he will have a "serious problem" with me...because he doesn't like to be called out on his lies.  

Do not be fooled by the initial experience...they just care about the initial sale. The workers I have spoken to...don't seem to know much and will provide you with contradicting information (mostly lies). Apparently a six year vehicle is too old to have a service plan on it.

I will just take my business elsewhere...no point having this type of customer experience over £279.

I have been dealing with Progress Skoda in Letchworth for over 10 years now. We have purchased new and used cars, we have had services and repairs and I have always been impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff.
We did have one little hiccup but I am happy that the matter has been dealt with satisfactorily.
Since being acquired by Volkswagen Skoda have gone from strength to strength and I have no hesitation in suggesting you try one.
Personally, I love the Yeti (sadly no longer in production) but there are many still out there and as Skoda owners tend to trade up every few years a two-year-old vehicle can represent a great buy.
If you are looking to buy then I suggest that Russel (who is my go to man) would be a great place to start, the other salesmen too are good but to be fair everyone has their favourites. Between us, my 2 daughters and 2 son in laws we have 5 Skoda’s and 1 of my son in laws is a very qualified motor mechanic.

Excellent service.  Car went in for check up  and needed some work done.  Two days later, work done and extras to allow the car to be ready for a long journey.  I would recommend them again and again.

I recently bought my new car at progress skoda in Letchworth. The service from start to finish was exceptional. Most of my visits were with Sean, but I also dealt with Matt, Alex and Tim. 
Every single time they’ve been friendly, helpful and professional. 
I didn’t feel under pressure to buy, but I was given a lot of help and information when making my decision.
The dealership have made the whole process easy and fun.
The cars I’ve bought are brilliant and I very much enjoy driving them. 
I can highly recommend this dealership and the staff for the great service.
