The WBC hosted our end of season steam Road run, we managed to up at least 12 vintage vehicles,, and associated living accommodation in the car park, the 3 course carvery meal was fantastic and was managed with precision, to feed the crews 50+ individuals. Many thanks Georgie and your team, we where struggling trying to book a taxi after to our accommodation further up the road and Georgie took us in her own car, you are a star , thank you very much we really appreciated your help.
This is a lovely place to eat, with a play area and seating area outside, one seating area had a cover over it and the other was near to the play area, We had a carvery which is the Sunday menu and it was delicious, had a choice between 4 meats, and a variety of different vegetables with a range of different sauces aswell, it did get very busy while we were there around 1.30pm so I would advise booking as there may be a wait if you don't pre book.
I have been to the Wheelbarrow many times and never reviewed but yesterday just had to be mentioned. I arranged for a small group of pensioners to have their carvery meal at 12.30.pm.even though I had been warned beforehand that there had been bookings for two coach parties one at 12.00 and another at 1.00. .I went ahead with my booking. The food was, as always, of excellent quality cooked to perfection. The Staff worked so hard to serve so many people in their usual cheerful and confident manner. We did not have to wait to be served even though the restaurant was very full the food was piping hot with many choices. A truly amazing effort from Sarah and her Staff. Thank you all we enjoyed our visit so much will see you again very soon. Maureen and friends from Church Lench.
We went to this beautiful friendly pub for the first time this evening there was six of us. I must say it was the best meal we have had it was beautiful. The staff couldn't do enough for you even turned the heating up as we were cold. The pub is spotless lovely clean we can't wait to go back. I recommend this place the prices are very good too great value for money,we all loved it we would like to say thankyou you all made us feel at home amazing 10 out 10.
not a sunday carvery fan but family birthday. And the carvery here was delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Only negative, was a bit chilly near fire exit doors. Some nice beers but unfortunately was nominated driver so didnt get to enjoy. Would go again if in area.
We were on a coach trip. The food was great. Lovely and hot carvery. The only downside was. When asked staff for WiFi. Sent to another side of the bar. I waited over 10 minutes to get servered. Then told to go back to another queue for drinks. Other than that. Nice pub and surroundings.
We ate at the Wheelbarrow Castle last night, all five of us had different meals that were all excellent, I went for the pie of the day that was the three meat carvery which was full of fillings with a side jug of gravy, yum! The staff were efficient and friendly and I would certainly recommend.
Lovely food but slow service. Sadly as we were on a coach trip we were unable to allocate time for a pudding due to this. Great that there were gluten free options though.
Delicious food and great service, so good we returned for second helpings. The pork bellie was cooked to perfection and the crackling was the best we have ever tasted. Definitely recommended!
