The Berkeley

Wow, what a beautiful English pub. We were passing through and needed to stop and was not disappointed. A warm welcome and social distancing rules observed. We had drinks and food. I had the Peri Peri chicken with rice and my wife had steak on flat bread. The food was amazing and made very fresh with beautiful side salad. Side of home made chips that were…proper home made was a welcome extra. Then when I paid my bill I was amazed at the great value also. If you’re passing…drop in you will not be disappointed!!

Very friendly and attentive booked at very short notice as let down by another place. We had to wait a while but they kept checking on us. We really enjoyed the carvery it was great value and included a desert which we were able to take away . Would definitely go back

Called by chance on a Sunday for carvery. Beef, pork and lamb all tender and taste. Plenty of veggies too. Tastiest carvery we've had for a while :Food: 5/5

Stayed a night in their huge car park - in my campervan - at this place a couple of months back. The manager, Matt, was fine with this, as I was buying drinks and food in the pub. Couldn't fault the service, food I believe Matt only learned to cook on the job, only recently or venue...hope to be back one day. Thanks for the music, laughs and hospitality, guys!

Sunday carvery,three types of meat,tasty and well cooked, the stand out part were the vegetables,a very good selection well presented and cooked,including whole onions which you don't usually see with carverys.A very pleasant meal and excellent value for money.Food: 5/5

Heading home from a trip up north my other half googled nearby restaurants as we headed south. Purely by chance the Berkeley popped up. We phoned ahead, which was a good plan as it was very busy. Staff were excellent, the local regulars friendly, and the atmosphere relaxed and homely. Despite some interesting dietary requirements that usually makes eating out a nightmare, the chef and Claire our waitress were very helpful and didn't have to keep going back and forth to check ingredients as is so often the case when we go somewhere,they knew exactly what was in everything. The food was excellent, the beer was superbly kept and it was very reasonably priced. Next time we're anywhere nearby we shall be returning!

Lovely friendly welcome . Beautifully presented and great tasting meal. I had vegetarian lasagne , served with chips, garlic bread and salad . Will definitely be visiting again .

Lovely pub. We were only there to have a drink or two. Landlord was friendly. We Would go back to have a meal.Service: 4/5

Easter Sunday. Excellent Carvery at this welcoming family friendly Pub/Restaurant. Beef, Pork and Lamb with a great assortment of hot fresh vegetables. Nothing too much trouble for this friendly, efficient management team.
