We came here on Saturday with our family,to celebrate our sons 40th Birthday, the service was excellent from start to finish, the drinks for the little people were great with fresh apple slices they looked delicious, our drinks were equally as good. The food was amazing, tasty and delicious. Fabulous venue.the atmosphere was great too.
This is the best gastro pub food in the area! I've been a few times recently and has been great each time. Was blown away the first visit, and the following visits have not disappointed! Amazing burger, pies, fish and chips. Make it next on your list . I think the food is better than the Ivy restaurants I've been to.Service: 5/5
We use the rear of the pub known as Toast. Open from 9 till 2.30 ish and serves up amazing breakfasts and brunches. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit.Service: 5/5
Having read all the reviews, think we must be writing about a different venue. Very mediocre welcome by the maitre d’ , he looked thoroughly miserable - no welcoming smile/chatter, when shown to our table, ok we were 3-4 minutes late, but……really? Waitresses seemed to rush us a bit and only one was friendly. Food was ok, but not amazing. Sorry, but very different to our previous visit, a few years ago, so we won’t be returning in a hurry. Disappointing.
Lovely lunch and all the staff were extremely helpful and polite, will be returning.
I really like this place. Very good food, excellent service. Breakfast 'next door' @ Toast is great too. Must make a point of visiting the outside bar / food area next summer.
Amazing food, fresh and perfectly cooked and I was delighted to see nyetimber was served there! Looking forward to returning and trying out more in the menu!Service: 5/5
My partner and I had 3 courses and enjoyed everyone. They were delicious and the portions expertly sized
First time we'd eaten in the restaurant and it was brilliant. Didn't feel rushed, service was perfect and food was fantastic!Service: 5/5
I had seen the reviews online and decided to pop in one afternoon with my wife, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere and decor were in keeping with the pub! Great selection of drinks and the lager I had was very nice! I had the fish and chips which was the best fish and chips I have had in a pub ever! The mushy peas were so tasty had an onion and garlic flavour too them which was different. Will definitely be returning and have highly recommended to family and friends!
