I've been going to Westwood park sugary for the past 7 years for 1 thing or another like injections for my osteoarthritis or for my dieabet eye test I've always found it clean and welcoming
I went Westwood Park Community hospital for a planned Hystroscopy. All the staff were lovely. As I was sat there waiting I got a call saying they need to cancel, but because I was there already the nurses decided they won’t send me back and go ahead as planned. All the nurses were amazing , till I got into the theatre. The consultant asked me if I want to get a coil fitted which I said no to, but she kept pushing me to get it done. The machinery wasn’t working properly so ten mins procedure took nearly an hour. And even in between me being in pain she kept saying get coil fitted. I am lucky that I had Shelly one of the nurse stood next to me for support or I would have asked her to stop and would have returned another day.
Went for a hysteroscopy some of the nurses were lovely, but when i went for the procedure they made me feel really uncomfortable they didn't know how to set up the bed and equipment which made me feel nervous. The doctor kept asking the nurse to do things and she kept pressing and doing the wrong thing, then when they finished i was left soaked wet threw with my legs in the air until i asked to clean myself up before they spoke to me about the results i wasn't even offered tissues to clean myself up with
My mother is in there at the moment. Even though all the team there are great, a special mention must go to Peter. He has and does go above and beyond the normal duties. What an asset he is to you and all of the people in your care.Thank you so much
Don't try phoning trying to speak to an actual person, I tried for 2 days and nobody answered the phone, you just have to listen to a boring message telling you they are open 98am till 5pm before they fob you off with a choice of 2 other numbers to ring, very poor service
My husband comes here every other week for treatment and the staff are so kind and nice, but the receptionist is so rude on the phone aswell as in person which is not nice for any one person attending a hospital procedure. Maybe a job change is in order.
Very polite staff, clean hospital, very informative and put you at ease. Made an unpleasant procedure comfort. Wish everywhere in the NHS had the same experience. I no that's not always possible, but after saying that I've been to airdale A&E and been only patient and not been treated 1 tenth, of how well the staff treat you at this hospital. Added bonus, you can park.
Visited today for a procedure, I had a lot of anxiety beforehand, the consultant and nurses were absolutely wonderful and really helpful Thank you
A very nice clean hospital to have your appointments here. This Hospital has the most wonderful, supportive, informative, and very polite staff, consultants, nurses, and receptionists.. etc. The way they treat you it makes you comfortable and welcomed. I have been in this hospital few times for different medical treatments, every single time you attend, they treat you much more nicer and politer. Thank you guys.
Had a cystoscopy today and was no where near as bad as I built it up in my mind!! Amazing staff and they really look after you, honestly ladies, it's not that bad, more uncomfortable than anything! Please be reassured if you are going for this procedure x
