I attended Dewsbury hospital as a day patient for surgery and I couldn't be more thankful or impressed. From the moment I arrived at ward 12 the staff were wonderful, helpful and extremely attentive. It literally ran like clockwork! Not even an hour after arriving all the pre surgery checks were completed and I had a visit from my anesthesiologist and surgeon, who were so kind and explained everything well. The care I received both initially after waking up and then back on ward 12 was the best I had experienced and I couldn't be more thankful to everyone involved.
I came with my sister since i couldn't swallow and i was being sick with a fever ect and i thought it was just bad tonsillitis but it was actually glandular fever either way, I was in SUCH gpod hands and amazing care. genuinely i had to go through so many new and scary things like an IV, needles and ECG a drip ect which id never done before but the doctors all women were so cool and kind and sweet and they offered to much support and so much food and i had a laugh with each one of them and i literally came in feeling like i was on deaths door and within a few hours i left feeling almost completely better. I know this might sound weird but I’ve never actually enjoyed a hospital experience but this one was brilliant. I wish i caught all the doctors names but they were all perfect seriously thank you
Very charming place, as I stepped right into the building I was greeted by nice people who really cared unlike for BRI hospital. Not even an hour passed and already a nurse assisted me and I had an x-ray done. By the 3rd hour I was ready to go home. Really greate unlike some other hospitals that make you wait 12 hours for nothing.
Came in to a&e at 10pm still sat in reception now at 3am in pain. Think it's ridiculous how I'm left this long. I'm going to another hospital. This is tragic, there's a lady with blood coming out from her head in front of me been left as I have, staff at nurses desk are rude. I asked how long it nay be before I get seen in a polite manner, she just daud there's people before you go back to waiting room . I think it's ridiculous to be treated this way. NHS so going down hill.
Had a minor operation yesterday, can't praise the staff on ward 12 enough, all the nurses were lovely from start to finish, ward was spotless, they do a fantastic job
