Was fortunate enough to be sent there as a day surgery patient for a Kidney stone to be dealt with. Outstanding visit from the first second. A senior gentleman lead me from the main reception area up to my ward on his mobility scooter, he was very polite and friendly putting me at ease immediately. The ladies on the ward were great, efficient, and friendly with a great bedside manner.nThe operating team were fab, not that I was anxious but I should think they had that covered if I had been with a little bit of light banter.nThe lady who made my tea and toast needs a mention too, crunchy toast, loads of butter and builders tea.. what more could I need..nWard 12, I salute you..
I took my mum on Friday for a biopsy and I must say the staff were amazing. From arriving to departing. I know the NHS is on its knee’s but in ward 12 they superb and my mum was very well looked after. Thank you ward 12.
In a+e for 9 hours in a cubicle ..staff don't acknowledge the call buzzer and no updates for 4 hours ...diabolical after being seen initially for the first 4 hours I was bought a takeaway...the nurse then told me if I'm well enough to order takeaway I'm fit enough not to be in a+e!!
My son recently went in for jaw surgery. From him going in to coming home, everything was brilliant. Lovely & clean, nurses all friendly & he was well looked after. So Thank You.
Ward 12 night staff are incredibly bad. They’re supposed to look after post surgery patients but have zero compassion. They didn’t update me when my partner was transferred to Pinderfields with gallbladder removal issues and they didn’t try hard enough to keep on top of the pain, this is not helped by there not being a doctor to prescribe stronger meds when needed. They then got stressed at my partner and made a couple of patronising, uncalled for remarks, when my partner then started to have a panic attack. Don’t be a nurse if you don’t want to help people and have zero compassion and empathy. I will be lodging a formal complaint about Helen and Florence, don’t have your surgery here if at all possible. I am a massive supporter of the NHS but some people aren’t fit to wear the uniform.
