Great place to stay in Oxford. A lot of people seem to have very high expectations of accommodation, but if you're willing to understand that this is not the Ritz in London, you'll be quite satisfied. Rooms were comfortable and clean, breakfast was delicious, and staff were friendly and helpful. Very close to the train station and 7 minutes walk from the old town. I'd stay again.

basic and clean, great if you like wood chip and magnolia. more a b and b than a hotel. Rooms bijou and petite tv. from my view expensive, but oxford apparently is for accommodation. radiators not very effective and had to wait for hot water. Waiter had dirty trousers which detracted from being served breakfast. Very tried and in need of refurbishment

Friendly and approachable staffs with family-run Westgate Hotel. Book directly through their website to get £5 off from rack price. Reasonable price with breakfast included and car park available. 2min walk from Oxford train station and close to main attractions. Definitely will come back again when visiting Oxford. I was staying in single en-suite room above conservatory with part of garden view. Acceptable train noise as I kept the window open for airflow. The room was clean and compact toilet with shower. However the en-suite twin-room I stayed in for the second day was next to main road so the traffic noise did affect my sleeping quality. Beware and put a notice to the staff while you booking with them to state your requirement.

The owner has bad attitude but the rest of staff are fantastic. Excellent service and food soo delicious
