Not in the habit of leaving bad reviews - but honesty prevails and I feel the need to make people who are considering staying fully aware of a massive potential problem that the hotel is aware of - but won't tell you at the time of your booking - yes the hotel is in a great location - it's convenient and all that , however there is a 24 hour minicab service that operates underneath some of the bedroom windows - so at 2.30am if you're trying to sleep - FORGET IT ! - the noise levels were overwhelming , shouting - car doors slamming , engines revving - cars being cleaned and vacuumed ( seriously...!) you'd be better off trying to sleep in the street. We text the on call virtual reception - who after having to phone them as well , responded to say that they were sorry and were also aware of the problem and were working with the council on the issue. They offered as a change of room - and unfortunately , although noise levels were reduced - the din was still audible. We had no other alternative other than to leave - so at 3.00am found ourselves heading home - Curiously, the hotel management team have refused to issue a refund , and have offered us another stay at the hotel in a deluxe or super room - are we going to accept ? Thanks, but not a chance. Our weekend was spoilt by this issue - don't let the same happen to you.

A wonderful luxury Boutique Hotel, handy for the tourist spots of Oxford and the wedding venue across the road at the Town Hall as well as Graduation days at nearby Christchurch. Paul Davies

Sweet hotel with a lovely help yourself breakfast and tea area. The rooms are super tiny so you wouldn't want to spend more time than when sleeping in the room itself, the communal area makes up for that. Great location, walking distance to most things to see and do
