After walking around the cathedral it was a pleasure to call in here for a drink. As its name suggests it is upstairs but there's a lift if needed. We had the teacake and coffee special offer at £4. Very nice.Food: 4/5
We hired the loft for my daughter's christening reception last weekend. I wanted to say a big thank you for helping us to have such a lovely day. The venue is decorated beautifully and there were lovely flowers on every table, the bunting and fairy lights are just lovely too. The food provided was faultless and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our cake supplier let us down last minute so we had no christening cake, the staff at the loft put together a cake for us within an hour, which was so kind of them, they really went above and beyond. I will definitely use the venue again in the future and highly recommend them. Thank you again!
After an amazing touring around the wonderful cathedral, it's worth having a break for tea or coffee and snacks in the cathedral café. Very helpful and polite staff and lovely view of the cathedral.
Unusual to see chowder on a menu, I had it with cheese scone which was good. Great views to be had out of the all round windows Food: 4/5
Wells cathedral, and the Bishop's Palace, are fantastic visits. Go here for a proper traditional tea room with lots of home made cakes.Food: 5/5
Don't get the gluten free cinnamon rolls. Claggy and leaden in the tum. Fresh sandwiches lovely.Food: 4/5

The fish chowder really is as good as they say but going here is a bit like time-travel. That may be a good thing of course!Food: 5/5
Good selection of food. Plated or soup options for vegetarians. Great choice of cakes. Good serving of milk for the tea I hate it when cafes skimp on milk.
